Anandtech TF2 gaming nights!

THE SERVER MAY BE PASSWORD PROTECTED ON THESE NIGHTS. Please see the event page for the password. If, for whatever reason, you are unable to find the password, send me a PM and I will let you know what it is.


Friday and Saturday nights have been chosen.

The first event will take place this Saturday April 26th, with subsequent events coming on Fridays and Saturdays on a bi-weekly basis. These scheduled events will always be posted here and in the ATTF2 events page. If we decide to go with a password it will be posted in the ATTF2 events page.



Since the TF2 gaming night last Friday was such a huge success we have decided to try and setup a couple of recurring nights. The nights will be every two weeks and will alternate between the first and second choices which should give everyone a chance to make it at some point. These specified "AT nights" will be password protected since we only have 21 slots avilable. Please vote for your two choices in order of preference.

I am pretty much only listing the days of the week for now; we can sort out specific times later if need be. Once these are sorted out I wil have them added to the Steam event calendar for the ATTF2 group.

If anyone has any other suggestions on anything, please post here.

Thursday and Friday nights are best for me... but it looks like I won't have a machine capable of playing TF2 for at least another week .

What are your specs? Have you tried playing it under the DirectX 8 codepath?

The RAM in my home PC failed, and I figure I won't have the replacement RAM until the 28th or so.

The only other machine I'd be able to use is my work laptop, which I will not be installing Steam on (plus, I don't think that intel integrated graphics would do too well with TF2).

I need to change the name of the server to [ATOT] Public Server #1 or something along those lines.

Nah, tonight will just be a realtively impromptu come one come all type thing. We will start the fully organized, password protected night next week I'm thinking.

I would love to play with you guys, but my schedule is rather sporadic (student/EMT/bartender) so it's really hit or miss as to when I could show up. I'd like to hit up any game when I'm available tho.
