They should audition for Penn and Teller's Fool Us, although the cups and balls routine has yet to fool them.
Does the client auto update by chance?
No, the current version of the client does not stay up to date. Glad to hear of the contiguous work units!
Huh? You're not serious are you?
It's coincidence you've got a good flow of WUs the same time as those coins .
The update is not essential btw.
I’m pulling work on the 1660, r280x, Kaveri APU (wahoo for 30,000 ppd), but the 1080ti is only getting 2 or 3 jobs / day unless I baby sit it. I’m hoping it starts to pickup regular jobs too - I would love for it to be set it and forget it.Yay for non stop wu on both computers, now we are cooking with gas. Hoping everyone else is pulling in some wu as well.

You definitely should register for a F@H Passkey. The points bonus for completing work units quickly is huge. I get a capability speed of more than 1 million points per day with 1 CPU and 1 GPU (in practice less than that because of the long waiting time between work units).Extremely surprising to me, I’m hitting 100,000 to 110,000 points per day [...]

The useful work for science research is the same in the end, but if you're chasing points that's the definite way.
Nah that's not super old! My HD 7970 & 7870XT are 8yrs old & would get 125/100k ppd . The HD 7970 won't now as it's boxed, but you get my point.
@blckgrffn
Dang! I wondered what that was shooting pass me! It was you with x3-4 the output!
Please, what is the command to limit GPU power in a multi-GPU system?
[...]
Both GPU's are nvidia--1070ti and 2070.
sudo nvidia-smi -pl ### [-id #]
nvidia-smi -L
, then use above command with the extra -id argument.Yes. This does not persist through reboots, nor through driver unload/ reload.Does it have to be reentered every reboot [...]?
Yeah, not signed (dumb, but not a problem) - maybe because they are trying to open source the GUI? I guess I'm going to have to download the previous version and see what happens. Is there a new F@H client version out?
Edit: Seems that way, but it's not a signed .exe. No-way I'm installing that.
Hmm, how do I get older version of FAH? Figured I'd go to v7.6.7 instead of .9, but web search is failing me.
