ASRock getting to 4.7@1.175V besting all others

I don't think I've heard of a 3770K getting to 4.7 with such low voltage. Cherry CPU?

Also, what cooler was being used? I can't find it for the life of me.

Anandtech's new Z77 mobo review was excellent as usual. Very thorough. Although none of the boards were real impressive at all.

They were all too close and what was to be expected really. I do like the Asus USB Bios Flashback feature.

The ripple with power phases for overclocking the cpu was dissapointing.....The Z68 platform remains the best for overclocking, imo.

THE Z77 brings improved IGPU and improved pciE speed (the pciE speed may benefit users with multiple vid cards, but not much).

The review had a lot of good information (and the addition of POST times was nice to see!), but I think it could maybe benefit from some minor additions / changes (easy to nitpick, I know):

1. The ASUS board uses the Realtek ALC892, compared to the superior 898 in most of the other boards. I almost bought the ASUS board before realizing this!

2. The performance tests should probably enable equivalent performance features across all boards if such features are available (E.g. Comparing boards with a default overclock to boards without it does not seem like a fair comparison, especially if the other boards can easily enable such a feature).

I regret going for my current Asrock after seeing these benchies

My Z77 Deluxe cost me $450 ish. Asrock Z77 Extreme 6 was just like $250ish in my country

I have only seen 1 or 2 Z77 boards clock a cpu over 5Ghz (via online reviews).....

Z68s oced a lot of i5s to 5.0
