1m? Wow, that's awesome. I can hear mine from the next two rooms... About 10 meters away, hence the reason I close the door to the bedroom when I go to sleep...

I can, atleast when it's turned off.

LoL. I forgot to add my Nec DVD burner (which by the way is very loud when in use).

For those that are interested, I have cool'n'quiet on, plus I use RightMark Clock to further ramp down the voltage & Multipler.

(BTW, that's inaudable at idle. My PSU is temperature controled, and ramps up with more use I'm dreaming of a Seasonic.......)

i hate thermal sensored fans, i had to change my stock fans because they get too noisy for no reason, it was exhausting very cool air at the time, too.

Exactly my thoughts. As soon as I start playing a video, I start to hear my PSU fan start up. :disgust:

if this system is for gaming, I would never be able to afford it unless I took a loan.

They wanted to just get a feeling for the rocket sound thinking they would go with something higher in price (like the RS850s @ $2000/pair), but they said after they heard how good the 550s were, they might just stick with a set of them and get a nice SVS to go with them, and acutally might end up getting the whole 5.0 rocket set like I did. At $1699 for the set of speakers it's cheaper than just about every stereo pair they were looking at still :Q

(ok, I'm done advertising for Onix now )[/quote]

You'll be happy with any SVS sub, I have a PC Ultra that is sitting in its packing box out on the balcony since I moved to Spain and right now I don't have anyplace to put it. Out of all of my components that I chose to take when I moved to Spain, I chose the SVS over my B&W speakers and Harman Kardon receiver. I actually had to leave my other SVS PC+ 16-46 when I sold my house as the new owners wanted to keep the home theater system intact. Let me know how you enjoy your Rockets with the SVS as once I have a place to put them I will order the Rockets.

Even though I have the "baby" of the SVS line up, I'm amazed with it. Maybe once I get set up in a larger room I'll think about adding another or getting something bigger, but it's plenty for me now. If I want more rumbling during movies, I just turn on my bass shakers

Are you planning on shipping Rockets to spain?
Shipping was $220 to Wisconsin on my 5.0 set... I imagine it would be quite a bit more to ship them to spain :Q

I'm more into movies than music, but I've been very pleased with everything I've played on my stuff.
I have my crossover set at 80hz for my system and the rocket svs combo integrates very well imo (and the two guys that came over today thought so too).

What kind of rocket system were you thinking about?

That's messed up... Does that even count, or do you have to own your machine? I would think the later.
