No, you guys dont have a clue. You are in denial. We have an in-house genius right here!

Denial might be beautiful for YOU Bar81

but reality is quite a bit different. I wonder if your wishful thinking about NF4 convinced you to buy obsolete hardware? Or maybe you already had bought it before the NF4 was released and now are jealous?

Either way, no one understands your interest in hardware you dont own, and dont care to own (or do you?)

Hi,
yeah, overall I'm extremely happy with my MSI Platinum SLI board. I can't say the same about my Gigabyte SLI board I had previously. I had loads of issues with it. The MSI on the other hand has been performing flawlessly. Almost everything works except CPU voltage won't go above 1.55v. But this is one of the most stable boards I've ever had the pleasure of owning. It overclocked so easily and so well.

Overall, I thought the Anandtech roundup was excellent. Sure, not everything was perfect, but put it into context with the rest of the reviews out there, nothing comes close to how thorough they were, especially with the overclocking.

I have been looking into NF4 boards for 2 weeks now and I was seriously looking for some reviews and tests, now I am confused after reading the anandtech review...... I originally thought of going with either Asus or Gigabyte but now I am leaning towards DFI board....... and would need some help with setup since this is my first time I am gonna set up rather than buying built system.....
I need help..... I need to built something for gaming and video editing with Premiere........ any suggestions.....??

If you are going with the DFI be sure to go to dfi-street.com for all the help you will want. I am sure they will get you up and running.

The NF4 boards can prove very challanging, especially for a first build. My best advice
Research, Research and more Research. Pick high quality components that are proven to work on the board you pick! Don't skimp on the power supply, and start with the basics 1 GPU, 1 HD and ram until you get it running stable and update to the latest bios. Then add the extra stuff 1 piece at a time

Good Luck!

Well, that IS good advice. But I booted straight off a raid0 array into installing windows, and with SLI enabled from the get go. It couldnt have been easier.

Similar setup here, no problems whatsoever.

Yeah, I guess you must be right, those people with all the problems are just imagining them or are "noobs" </sarcasm> Notice how even you admit that "most" problems are due to user error, meaning you are admitting there are problems. Stop trying to defend your purchase, there are well documented problems with the nForce 4 SLI setups. You can bury your head in the sand all you want but it doesn't make you right.

So it makes you right to sit there, with NO NF4 and tell me how bad they are???

Yeah, but no more REAL problems than exist on your rig.

Quit defending your buying choices, by attempting to degrade the new stuff.

I dont know why people like you exist, why do you troll on forums bashing hardware you have no idea about, and dont own?
