Well, I love stouts. I've never had that one before so if you wanna sell it to me for a reasonable price I'll buy it

LOL i seen a beer trade online. NOt sure what to trade it for.

I stopped in to get a few glass's and a case of oberons. I got the glass's and as stein and walked out with 2 4packs of this stuff. LOL

Well, the bourbon barrel aging tends to change the character a good bit.

yeah heard that. Also far better if you let it set a year or so.

If you decide you wanna trade em, just think of some DFW-area beers you might want to try and let me know. I'll see what I can do for you then

the Oak barrel aged chocolate Yeti's pretty good. And only like $9.99 which isn't bad at all for a barrel aged stout.

At a store like HEB or Central Market it'll be around that price. Most of my nearby shops charge a bit more. I think it was $11.99 at Fossil Creek Liquor.

The Abyss is $12.99 at HEB/CM and $16.99-$19.99 at the shops near my house which is super annoying

Just got back from Colorado (where we hit 9 breweries during our road trip around the state) and we picked up over $100 worth of beer to bring back with us. Stuff we can't get here in MN. My girlfriend has it all at her place right now, I'll see if I can get a picture.

Hey, I see some Nebraska Brewing Company in there!
I haven't tried those ones. I used to play guitar in the place next door to their brewpub (the venue is under new ownership now, they didn't want us anymore).

Would you drink a beer if it had this description?

"A sniff brings a nose full of grassy hops, though the bouquet fades to bubblegum and tropical fruit as the beer warms. Mouthfeel is rich and silky, and wet hay-field aromas linger toward the finish, with a dank resiny underbelly with just a touch of cow-pasture funk."

Had a couple pints of Mayflower IPA on tap this afternoon.

[edit] Forgot to mention the restaurant charged me $7.70 each.

Oh man those reviews are so pretentious. I'm sure it's a decent beer but I'll be damned if those reviews don't remind me of what would happen if I asked ATOT how to cook a steak.

Step 1: Raise the calf from birth in a hyperbaric chamber, feeding it only lemon grass, fescue and walnuts. Make sure it has proper entertainment consisting of NO reality shows, Kardashians nor Justn Beiber...

Please, please, please keep any of those Deschutes beers at least until the "Best After" date stamped on the side of the label. Black Butte Anniversary, The Stoic, and Abyss are all much better after being aged for some time.

I snagged the only bottle of an original release 2010 The Stoic at my local market (they will sit on a few beers here and there for years and put them out later) in early 2015, and it was quite amazing. It was the beer I remember it being but so much better for the aging.

They are all going to sit for awhile, so don't worry about that

Damn, my boss bought me a bottle of stoic for christmas and I thought it was good but not amazing. Maybe aging would've helped.

I'm not too wild about stouts or porters usually but that bourbon barrel aged stout was quite delicious.

I'm guessing you are talking about the Anderson Valley one? I've not had it before but I'm looking forward to it at some point.

If you were talking about the BCBS, yes, that one is pretty good.
