Looks like a couple cm at least out there. If we can accumulate it all we can maybe have enough to start building a decent foundation for our wall. #notmypresident

To hell with that, it's 70 degrees here today.
It was 70 here on Friday. Saturday morning i went to work & didn't really need a coat. Left at noon & my car has snow on it.
Looks like we only got about 2-3 in. overnight but more on the way till tomorrow.

It's clouded up here, currently in the mid 60s. Clouds are okay for about an hour, then I want my sun back.

It's been raining just about non stop here for the whole month of November, flooding, roads and bridges washed out, 20,000 people displaced....nice and warm though...

Dominican Republic by any chance? I just left there and it's crazy how high the rivers are in the area I always stay. Good for the rice crops though...for now.

Is that Puerta Plata? Ouch!

Santiago isn't as bad, but the water levels are getting super high. And I did see some crazy water start to enter with force in some areas of Nagua. Seen a river behind some houses form as well over there.

Sucks for the people there. Their lives are already hard as hell.

Couple of bridges washed out, up to 30,000 people homeless, we drove to town on thursday and the drive home was insane because of the flooding, it was getting up to the doors in the suv. It's calmed down and looks a lot better, just need to let that water drain, it's been raining almost nonstop since we first got here in late Oct.

I have some family staying in Dominion Republic, and yeah the rain there has been crazy bad. I don't know if where they are is affected to, but been posting lot of pics of other places on FB.

I'll definitely take the snow over that much rain.

Damn that just sucks. If I see a flake of snow I am going to stay my ass inside until it goes away which didn't take long the last time it snowed like 8 years ago.

Fuck that...in a normal year, we MIGHT get 3-4 inches of snow...total...We moved here (Kitsap County, WA) in 2012. We got about that much the first winter...3-4 inches of snow total. On my wife's birthday, about 2-1/2"...and another inch or so on Christmas morning.

Since then, we've gotten MAYBE 1 inch of snow total. All my neighbors say we're over due for a heavy snow storm...(more than 6") because we usually get a storm like that every 4-5 years. AND, because, so far, we've been way warmer than normal. (since we've been here, the coldest weather has been around Thanksgiving, with lows into the teens...and even the single digits.) :brrr:

I hate snow...in fact, "hate" isn't a strong enough word for my dislike for snow where I live. It's BEE-YOUTIFUL when it stays up in the mountains where it belongs...but not anywhere else.

It's nice to get a decent accumulation by December though. Makes for great Christmas scenery.

* Such scenery is also better enjoyed from inside with furnace set to 22c.

^ I don't know how you Canadians do it. I lived in Buffalo for 4 years and at first it's nice, but months on end of nothing but dirty/muddy snow and cold does not make for a good mood.

In this part of Utah, we generally see the first snowfall in September.
All we've gotten this year was less than one inch last week. Not much rain, either.

It's also been unseasonably warm, with temperatures in the 60s most of the month and even a 70 degree day. Normal November highs are in the 40s.
Though the forecast say winter is coming... It's just late this year. More snow next weekend and temperatures are turning much cooler (albeit still warmer than average for this time of year), starting today.

...Though I'd be totally fine if winter just decided to skip this year.

I guess we're just used to it.

I hate snow and cold. Unless I move out of Canada, I have to accept it.

The only good thing, as Red mentioned, is that it can look very beautiful.
