If only there existed the technology to record something to watch at a later date, some type of video recorder. Maybe there could be this giant series of tubes that contain copies of this mythical event to watch from things like computers or phones. There could even be a large group of people who watch the event themselves and report what happened.

The idea that two things could be broadcast at the same time and people could only choose to view one and never be able to see the other is absolutely ludicrous.

Well, Trump does want to use couriers to message others. I'm guessing a DVR is something he foresees in the future some day.

Whoa hold it right there, DVR? That sounds foreign, probably Muslim. We'll have to go to a good old American company like Sony, see what they have.

Trump isn't a debater. He's a self-promoter with a deficit of concept-content.

And some of us have observed a decline in not just the civility, but the maturity and logic of the debate discussion. Instead, it seems that Trump and the GOP are just replacements for the announcer and wrestlers on a WWWF glitter slam-fest.

So Trump's gripe about a debate-schedule conflict with NFL games just points up a description of blue-collar Reagan Democrats in the '80s, who have been described as NASCAR voters, with the same metaphorical emphasis on mass-enthusiast sports extravaganzas.

I guess it would seem he could let the conflict stand, if he thought himself that he might not look good against Hillary. So the contrary is more likely. And I just come away with the conclusion that his smugness and overconfidence will again be his undoing.

But it's a propaganda war -- everything from rebuttals that Melania couldn't have plagiarized Michelle because everybody uses the word "the" -- to attempts to make Mr. Khan - the "Gold Medal" father -- appear to be just a Dem shill.

Has anyone seen the nude Melania photo-shoots from 1995? I think it was in the New York Post.

Ha! What a great country of people we are! How we've moved to a new moral and exemplary plane of consciousness! Pinnacle of nation states! Masters of the Universe! A replay of the glorious days of the Roman Empire.

With a belly lower than crocodile piss, just like everybody else. And there is indeed something called Character, the National Character, and a National Spirit. It rises and falls in history.

I'm not entierly sure what the rest of us understand to be easily disproven lies doesn't actually pass for reality in whatever paralell dimension Trump is living in.

In the last week or so we've had the following....

1. Hillary rigged the debates! Reality is that dates were set over a year ago by an independent group.

2. He's insulted the parents of a fallen soldier.

3. Russia won't invade the Ukraine. Pssst....Crimea is a peninsula in part of the Ukraine.

4. I don't know Putin at all, never met the guy! Yet in 2014 he's on record saying he was in Moscow for a beauty pagent there and met directly and indirectly (however that works) with Putin and that he was a super nice guy.

5. I hope Russia hacks us! But wait...he was being sarcastic.

100 more days to go. Getcha popcorn.

Totally doesn't know Bloomberg. At all. So Sad.

http://www.vanityfair.com/news/2016/02/donald-trump-michael-bloomberg-feud

“He was a friend of mine. As far as I'm concerned, he's not a friend of mine anymore,” Trump told Fox Business on Thursday, saying that Bloomberg had slighted him with a “nasty shot” in an interview where Bloomberg mused about entering the presidential race because he found “the level of discourse and discussion distressingly banal and an outrage and an insult to the voters.”

The relationship between the two New York–based billionaires goes back decades, with Trump praising his “friend’s” business intelligence as the head of a major financial news and media company (“It’s different kinds of business, it’s a very different kind of business”), bragging about their former business deals (one of which involved converting a construction site in the Bronx into a Trump-owned golf course) and hesitating to criticize him when given the chance.

I thought Casino Mussolini hit the nail on the head pretty well.

I find the WW2 Italian stereotype of all bravado, zero brains/balls to fit Drumpf better than any Hitler trait we can attribute to him without invoking Godwin too much.

The other important part is that Mussolini was everyone else's bitch (Hitler and Franco); whereas in our contemporary day, pitching for Trump's catcher would be Putin.

Please, she's the one who hasn't held a press conference, mainly because she can't handle being put up to impromptu questions.

Trump is going to fucking crush her. It isn't even going to be close. She struck a deal with Bernie to go easy and Trump won't do it.

I had a friend who called this 3 months ago. It was obvious she can't have a real debate.

One thing is clear to all the adults in the country--No matter the margin of Clinton's staggering victory against Trump in every single debate, Trump and his supporters will only ever claim that they won.

It is all they can do. To continually support this flaccid sub-human fleshbag and his utter contempt for human decency and laws--without even the smallest sense of irony--it is apparent to everyone else that all Trump supporters are little more than craven, self-serving, unpatriotic short people that followed up their high school bully careers by being rejected by their local police academies.

True, but less people watching the debate can only help Trump. He's not exactly knowledgeable when it come to anything other than spray tans, bankruptcy, and saying how hot his daughter is.

This.

He will win the debate in the eyes of those that never watched the debate.

Those who will be told so by Fox News, numerous other right wing web sites and blogs, and that endlessly forwarded e-mail sent to them by their angry Uncle Stupid.

I really think that the Trump campaign is trying to figure out how to save face while not engaging in the debates. Manafort is extremely shrewd, a guy who understands his candidate's strengths & weaknesses very well. The debates def are not a venue where Trump's strengths can be emphasized & exaggerated to get votes. He must control the narrative to win & that will be extremely difficult under those circumstances. The potential downside of going mano a mano with Hillary is huge & looming.

Bet that Hillary will use a lot of sparring partners between now & the first debate, develop strategies & answers for whatever questions her staff can dream up. They'll practice dealing with ambush scenarios, hostile questions, you name it. They'll also practice strategies designed to dig right into that very fragile skin & ego, see if they can get him to lose his composure in a childish way as we saw in the Repub debates. It served him then but he's not in Kansas anymore, either.

This plus she'll consult therapists and physiologists to learn what words piss off narcissists the most.

I wonder how predictable Donnie is gonna be. Will she be able to basically script her answers and make it look even more effortless?

And you can bet that all moderators are going to be squeaky clean for this one. Between the hacks and previous problems, I expect nothing but completely above-board behavior and then a stream of baseless allegations from Donnie's campaign when the beating is over.

**I know this is a O'Reilly show for the left but bear with me**

The Maddow show had a very brief note on this which I mostly forgot.
Debates have been scheduled for decades but many years they were skipped by either or both candidates until 1992 Bush vs Clinton. Bush Sr didn't want to debate "Slick Willy" because he knew he wasn't as good a speaker. Clinton allegedly bought Chicken costumes to show up at Bush appearances. Its not known if the costumes were from the Clintons but they all appeared to be very similar and the person in them never identified themselves or spoke but these Chickens used to show up everywhere Bush went.

I wonder if the Chicken costumes are still around and I wonder what affect they'd have on Trump provided he tried to wiggle out of a debate?

Would be funny to see them at Trump appearances, but no doubt those dudes would get mugged by Trump's thug-life followers, all the while the Trump promising via public appearances and tweets to pay their legal fees, then magically claiming that he never said such a thing.

Looking up an image for this was tough because its from 92. There were some funny ones of what appeared to be him standing near the limo, another of him in a crowd looking up at the stage.

Seemed to really piss Bush Sr off. He yelled at the Chicken once. Makes it even more enduring that Bill & him (George) became good friends post Presidency. I think Bill has called George his second Father.

More "I'm afraid this election is going to be rigged". He's moved his wording into its unpreventable territory.
Admittedly the Delegate Convention and various voter restrictions that have popped up aren't exactly freedom but overall we have a good honest process.

http://www.cnn.com/2016/08/01/politics/donald-trump-election-2016-rigged/index.html

This is getting into dangerous territory.

Trump added that he has heard "more and more" that the November election will be rigged -- suggesting to his supporters that the outcome of the election is out of the hands of voters.
