Andara Barebones CPU Question

Anyone remember the Andara Barebones deal a while back? Will a 1gig, 266 fsb, athlon work in the original Andara mb that had the 1gig cpu limitation? Ie., i know that it will only run at 200fsb, but will a 266 fsb, 1 gig athlon work in that mb?

Also, why are the 200fsb 1.3 and 1.4 athlons so much more expensive than their 266 fsb counterparts? Is this also a compatibility issue where the 200 fsb cpus are Thunderbird core, but the 266 fsb cpus are pre-Palamino?

OK, I answer my own question. A 266 fsb, 1gig athlon will only run at 750mhz in the original Andara barebones mb, since the latter only supports a 100mhz fsb.

Just a difference in mulitpliers to account for the 100 vs 133 fsb speed. Thus unless one is willing to unlock and play with multipliers on the 266 cpus, you will only get 75% of the rated speed on an older 100mhz fsb mb. Thus as the 200mhz cpus become more scarce, they become more expensive...
