Andara Barebones question

My sis is finally getting around to putting together that Andara Barebones [from Overstock] that everyone jumped on a year ago.

She bought a Thermaltake volcano 5 HSF.

The problem is that there is a resistor on the mobo just to the upper right of the CPU. So there isn?t enough space to hook on the heatsink.

Did anyone else have this problem?
Can anyone recommend a smaller HSF?
Or have another solution?

The Volcano 5 has a 80 X 60 mm base. What you need to get is any 60 X 60 heatsink and fan. There are tons of those around and they are really cheap.

u can always try to use a file and file away the blocking metal (or the resistor but that'll be less reccomended )

A lot of ppls do that with thier swiftech MCX hetsinks (those huuge chunks of copper)
