Lol, I haven't heard it or that Shanahan interview you mentioned yet. I hope it works out for them and RGIII performs better.

RG3 can't perform with this offensive line, just like any other average QB in the NFL. He doesn't have the speed any more in addition to a lack of respect from his teammates from being protected on'high by Snyder. I guess that's just conjecture as there is no way of knowing, but it just doesn't seem like he could possibly turn this shit around.

Any potential he has will not be realized in DC and almost certainly anywhere else. Quite a shame since he was so good his rookie year. He carried the team the playoffs on his back, got injured and now he's on his last leg in the NFL... no pun intended.

I also think it's the same situation with Shanahan. It's either RG3 or the coach all over again! If he isn't awesome or becomes Gruden's guy. One of them is out.

Stupid comment but in fairness the Colts really didn't deserve to be in the AFCC game this year. That they did was more a testament to the fail of PFM and DEN then the stellar play of the Colts. If Bradshaw hadn't gotten hurt again and they actually had a running game they might have been a reasonable opponent but as it was they deservedly got pummeled by the Pats.

Did you watch any of the drives he was in? His offensive line was so incredibly fucking terrible. He was sacked 3 times on 8 drop backs... Yeah, clearly that was his fault.

You forgot his 2 fumbles also. And yet behind that same O line, Cousins went 8/12 and 91 yards with a TD. Meanwhile Colt McCoy went 5/6, 80 yards passing plus rushing 4/17 and getting a 158.3 QB rating.

Did you see his sacks? They were from defensive line pushing the O line around. Maybe, they got their shit together after getting their starting QB injured. Maybe Detroit got tired? And two of his incompletions were a dropped pass (that was actually a good throw), and more complete push by the D line getting a bat down.

Now, I'm not saying he did great, but if you want to start mouthing off about how bad he is, look at the actual game. Quite a bit of that wasn't his fault. He was getting destroyed by Detroit's defense.

Dude, on the play he got hurt there were literally 3 open receivers he could have dumped off to including RB Chris Thompson (#25) directly in front of him who had no defender within 7 yards of him, and TE Hamm on the left flat with literally no defender even in the camera shot. Hell, even Trent Richardson could have seen where to go with the ball on that play and yet RG3 was oblivious.

but as far as that quote about him sayign he is the best qb ever ... HOLY SHIT that got blown out of proportion. if you read the full quote it's OBVIOUS that he doesn't think he is better than brady, rodgers, etc, but he is striving to be the best. but nobody on the radio/tv wants to even talk about the full quote, they are picking parts to disect with no context.

that said, rg3 needs to just stfu. he is terrible with the media and doesn't know how to talk to people. just stop talking for good.

yeah, this isn't fair at all. both cousins and mccoy weren't playing with the same line, AND they were going up against backups. i'm not knocking what they did, just stating facts. but it's not really a fair comparison.

and while rg3 sucks, his line last night did nothing to help him out. but when the line collapses and gets beat, it's obvious that rg3's decision making skills are simply not there and he panics. he has no football instincts. he has absolutely no intangibles.

It also seems pretty clear that a good amount of his problems are between the ears as much as physical or personnel - like I said in the linked video, how do you not see the RB literally a few yards directly in front of you and very open? That's like T-Rich can't find the hole with a map level poor decision making. I know the kid has talent but you'd never guess that he was a #2 pick by watching him anytime since his rookie season. His recent ranking of #31 QB in the league seems very correct right now.

i mean it's not fair to compare him to mccoy and cousins in preseason, and say they were behind the same o-line, because that simply is not true. they were in with 2nd stringers, and going against 2nd stringers.

I was at the game last night, the crowd was heavily booing him but at least cheered when he got up after 5 minutes from the hit. He's a fucking clown who runs around like a chicken with its head cut off in the pocket during any pressure, no poise. Skins fans were cheering Kirk Cousins who did well on short passes and engineered a nice TD drive in the rain.
