My wife was a 49ers fan until last season's explosion. The ownership team took a well running team and burned it to the ground. I think they just replaced snyder as worst in the league.

But, yeah, Washington won't be competitive until snyder sells.

I'm sure there isn't a disagreement. Snyder has the say, and everyone agrees on that.

As much as I dislike the Redskins (not nearly as much as I hate the Eagles, though), I hope RG3 finds his form. He has a ton of athletic ability and if can get his throwing refined and make some better running / sliding decisions, he could be pretty good.

RG3 has a ton of athletic ability. The problem is, is his head screwed on right? Quite frankly, his decision making is piss poor. Not that I mind all that much since my team plays in the same division.

The NFL is a game of adjustments and RG3 has seemed to make zero adjustments in his game. We all know this is not college. There isn't just that one guy who is super big and super strong. That's practically everyone on the field. RG3 has put it on record that when running down the sideline he tries to extend plays simply because he knows the defender will pull up. You think defenses don't notice that? They WILL pound you to the pulp. And we're seeing it take a physical toll on his body. With the injuries, he's not as fast as before, and you can see the other side of it when they do hit you higher, there's a chance of concussions.

He has a cannon for an arm but can't seem to read the field for crap. I can't think this is all Jay Gruden's fault. Mike Shanahan also had RG3 for a couple of years. In all honesty, considering what year he's in, he's barely better than a rookie. This, IMHO, is where RG3 fails to make it as an elite QB. You need to be able to read the defense, and take what they give you. He can't seem to do that.


I'll leave this post with the link below. MMQB has RG3 ranked #31 out of 32 teams. If RG3 does not improve this year, I think we can label him a bust.

Honestly it's a shame to see such promise (rookie season) go downhill, but what do you expect with a guy like Snyder.

If it was just RG3, I'd say it's the player. But this isn't the first time with this team, and it won't be the last.

Skins are doomed until Snyder sells or dies.

rg3 fucking sucks as a football player. he only succeeded his rookie year due to a gimmicky offense that was not sustainable. even that year, they had to go on a 7 game win streak to finish out the season to make the playoffs. it's not like the redskins (and rg3) were dominating anybody. all he had was a great highlight reel though.

rg3 has absolutely no football smarts. he has no pocket awareness and never will get it. he has no ball protection and will never learn how to do it. he also has no clue how to protect himself.

he never HAD to learn any of that shit before either. in college he was faster than everyone so he would just run backwards, then turn around the corner and burn everyone. defenses in college are also LOL worth in general which is why games are like 80 - 70 sometimes.

now in the pros he can't do what he instinctually did in college and just run past everyone. it's so obvious when he feels any pressure his instincts say to run back and away from everyone cause he did that in college then turned the corner and outran them. you simply can't do that in the pros and he simply can't learn that.

as much as i wish he would be successful, he simply will never be successful (at least here in DC). everyone here is riding on hopes that he will turn back to 2012 form. that simply WILL NEVER HAPPEN. injuries caught up to him as did defenses. every defense must be licking their chops when they face rg3 because they know how he folds under pressure.

i saw a stat recently about ball protection. dude has 37 career starts. he has 32 career fumbles. THIRTY TWO FUCKING FUMBLES IN THIRTY SEVEN STARTS. think about that for a second. that is guaranteed that he will fumble the ball in at least 4 out of 5 starts. that is fucking terrible. granted he didn't lose all of those, but still. that is terrible.

then last year he started 9 games. he had 4 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. whatever the excuses are, THAT IS FUCKING AWFUL.

he has regressed so much and everyone wants to make excuses as to why. he is the only player that doesn't have to compete for his job, and it makes no sense, because he sucks. he's one of the only players on the team who SHOULD be competing for his job.

you're clearly not in the dc area, because nobody in the dc area wants rg3 to start because it's obvious that he sucks. it's actually the opposite - if he were to start, that would be the equivalent of a nuke going off in the city.

Good analysis, and when I pointed much of this out in 2012, certain posters said I didn't know what I was talking about. Shanahan was the reason he succeeded and is also why he is failing now.

I want RGIII to improve and succeed. We need some excitement in the NFL.

he also said there have been no discussions of releasing RG3 and the plan is for him to stay on the roster.

and the decision for kirk is 100% performance related, not injury related to RG3, per gruden's own words.
