If any of you are into lifting and working out, the 'Clinton drug and whatever' administration may declare andro products illegal in a few months, so they're having a sale on andro products, recently i purchased super androstack 6 myself, this isnt a deal for all, but they have some nice deals like buy 4 get 2 free. Time to stack up.

http://dsportscience.com/dstore/prodpages/androsale.html

please dont flame me for this deal.

Might as well flush that money down the toilet. The only thing Andro will get you are a nice pair of "bitch tits". And don't think for a second that McGwire used Andro, it was a nice cover story for the real illegal supplements he is/was using and it got him a few nice endorsements. That's a story for another place though, just giving a heads up that this isn't such a great deal.

MOST andro products do suck...even if you have a "top quality" andro product (and there is almost none) it`s usually broken down and destroyed because the delivery system on tose products are mo good.

There is an online e-zine at testonerone.net they kick serious ass, and sell a new topical andro spray that I have used personally, and it works great! This company is the real deal (all of the products are good, no B.S)...I do not trust any other company after using their stuff.

Plus their supplements are always buy two get one free.

bullshit, you won't get any damn bitch tits. In fact it won't do a damn thing.

You need the oral applicator of andro. Or take a ton of the pill form. The oral applicator is where you put the liquid on your gums and gets direct absorption.

Haygood2, your icon is appropriate! Tune in to deja.com sometime to see what experienced bodybuilders really think of EAS, Bill Phillips, etc.

Tboner, I just ordered my Biotest topical andro, and I agree, testosterone.net is the best bodybuilding mag around, print or otherwise. Here's a "hot deal" for you and othersx: 3 bottles of Biotest Androsol for $87 at www.dpsnutrition.com, plus $4.95 S&H for any order under 10 lbs. Even with their 2 for 1 deal, I think it's about $108 total direct from Biotest, as opposed to $92.

And finally, Somec, you're probably right, taking Andro will mask the use of the "real thing" testosterone injections. Drug testing in almost all professional sports is a true joke. Did you know that NBA players, unless they have had a drug _conviction_, have one test per year, on a known date? Yeah, sure, Karl Malone is just a hard worker in the gym.

Off topic, but can anyone explain to me why it's appropriate to post this kind of thing given that posts on cigarettes/alcohol/etc are banned?

I'm no weightlifter, so I guess I don't really know what I'm talking about for sure, but I thought this stuff was being banned for being dangerous to your health...

If I'm full of sh*t, LMK gently, please- I'm not intending to be offensive, I'm genuinely curious, and bored enough this morning to actually want to learn!

"Andro" hasn't been banned yet, and it may well never be. So it is technically a "health supplement." (You can find it at GNC, and even WalMart.) Some would argue that hormone therapy, in general, is a good thing--e.g., that every 50+year-old male should take supplemental testosterone and growth hormone.

I think that very few scientifically knowledgable observers would argue that "andro like what mcgwire uses"--which is 19-4 Adrostenedione--is pro-health. The research just doesn't back it up. Even so, it is an equivocal issue.

I will say this: steroids in general are far less damaging to an individual's health (if used in anything approaching moderation) than alcohol and cigarettes. I also think that as the baby-boomers age, there will be a greater societal acceptance of hormonal supplementation--as is indeed already the case, with testosterone patches appearing on the market several years ago. The pro-sexual drugs, such as Viagra, are part of this same larger movement of values and mores. Baby-boomers simply don't like being/becoming/feeling old!

I guess I can accept that argument... I honestly don't know anything about it, so the only information I get is from the big-publicity scares like Lyle Alzado (sp?) and etc. - the celebrities who claim hormones/steroids caused their illnesses and the Olympic scandals and that sort of thing.

As far as "hormonal supplication" goes, I think you're probably right that the market will expand tremendously in the near future... but I also would probably feel better about it if it was more regulated than just sold through GNC and such! I know I'm happy that my post-menopausal female friends are able to take hormone supplements and generally enjoy tremendous heath/happiness benifits as a result, but I'd also hate to think that the pimply teenage clerk at the health food store / vitamin outlet down the street was going to be responsible for helping them achieve a good balance!

"but I'd also hate to think that the pimply teenage clerk at the health food store / vitamin outlet down the street was going to be responsible for helping them achieve a good balance!"

Why would the clerk be "responsible?" It would be the individual who was taking the "supplement" that was responsible. If that individual wants to work through a licensed medical practitioner, that would be a viable, generally recommended (albeit expensive) option.

I do agree that drugs and supplements that are addictive, or that can easily cause harm through overdose, should be regulated. (Of course, that would apply to alcohol and cigarettes, wouldn't it?) But if memory serves, androstenedione first appeared on the market at least 5 years ago, so millions and millions of people have taken it--and I have not heard of even one serious incidence of harm as a result.

Another issue is that medical doctors are simply not informed about anything they didn't learn about in medical school, or that the drug companies haven't instructed them about. The average layman can learn more about nutrition in a week's worth of reading than the average MD knows. And it would take one day's reading (I'm not being facetious) to be more informed about herbal supplementation than the average MD.

I strongly believe that every individual has to take responsibility for his or her own health. If your post-menopausal women friends could get estrogen at 1/20 the cost of a prescription medicine at a GNC, I personally would not have a problem with that. Would I recommend that they consult a doctor before taking it? You bet--that's something MD's know a lot about.
