Glad I wasn't the only one that thought Key Lime Pie was a stupid name. Kitkat is way better.
A bit disappointed this is 4.4 and not 5.0 though. I guess my Gnex is sticking it out for another year.
i used to work for symantec 6-7 years ago and in the norton group at least the part i worked in we used to name all our builds after starships .
so it was a while back i remember i worked on defiant, and serenity. lots of companies do it. just android is so big the code names get known outside. intel names all their chips after rivers or whatever.
I've given up on Google's numbering system. It has no rhyme or reason to it and they seem to change the name when they see fit. 4.0 was ICS, but the JB name stuck for 4.1-4.3... Now it's a name change again but it's only 4.4.
No, I did as well. They did a good job on this one, haha.Am i the only who checked the calender and made sure it wasn't april fools? Sure seemed like it, epic trolling from google.
Nobody paid a dime, read up on stuff before commenting.I guess advertisements truly are everywhere now. They even pay for code names.

Man relax this was a last minute name change and the head programmers at Google love eating kitkats
its just a candy bar!
This is making me really hungry for a KitKat...
Smart. Co-marketing a product increases profits for both brands.
Cracked up when I saw a comment saying something along the lines of "should have expected Android to name itself after a candy that you fragment".
"The Kit-Kat candy bar has the name 'Kit-Kat' imprinted into the chocolate...that robs you of chocolate! That is a clever chocolate saving technique. I go down to the factory, 'You owe me some letters!'" - Mitch Hedberg"I like Kit-Kats, unless I'm with four or more people." - Mitch Hedberg
