Android: Set up/switch multiple users?

I ordered a Nexus7 for the family. My wife and I will want to check or emails. We all play games. Is there a way to set up multiple users on one Android device so we don't have to log in to every app?

Just add additional Google accounts as needed. I'm not sure what the limit is, but I have 3 Gmail accounts on my phone and no problems. Not sure about other apps though. If this is a dealbreaker, consider purchasing additional tablets, $200 is a snip for the convenience of having your own personalized device.

SwitchMe is a root only app that allows different "logins" for multiple users. Each user is separate from the others.

I went with SwitchMe. I could not find any other app that allows me to have completely separate settings for each user. I'm not happy about having to root the tablet to use it, but oh well.

Just curious Chris as i saw your post on xda as well, but have you tried to install the same app on two different profiles? I posted on xda but haven't had any responses there, but I'm at work and haven't had time to test this. I basically wanted to know how the installation of the same app on two different profiles is handled storage wise. Is the app being installed taking up 2x the amount of space because it's installed twice, or does that even matter? Anyone else could chime with any insight.

i imagine it would take up 2x the storage space since you are basically duplicating the data folder per user, and user apps are installed in this folder.

Yes, it makes a completely separate sandbox for each user. You have to re-install every app in each sandbox.

We will mostly use it for playing games, checking email and facebook. I think 16GB will be plenty of space for our needs, even if I split it up 3 ways (me, my wife, and the kids).
