What a dumbass. The things people will do to stave off perceived death.
when I was a surgical tech, it was semi-common for us to do double mast, implants and a full hysterectomy because of aging females fearing cancer
In the past, doctors would yank them out more frequently because of the we know best mentality.I think something like 1/3 women over 60 has had a hysterectomy. I almost couldn't believe it when I read that.

Can't women just get mamograms twice a year instead of double mastectomy?
Yes the BRCA Mutation causes:
Hereditary breast–ovarian cancer syndrome, people with her Mutation have a 5 times increase risk of breast cancer and a 10 to 30 times greater risk of ovarian cancer.
I wouldn't be surprised if she also had her ovaries and fallopian tube removed as well. With this mutation she at very high risk for not only breast cancer, but ovarian and fallopian cancer as well.
why is it so hard to cure cancer? science fail.
