Screw you Caltrans.
At first I thought "this traffic had better be caused by a fatal accident, and not some lame accident by some idiot causing thousands to suffer.." Then I hear on the radio that caltrans are working on the 5 for maintenance. WTF screw you. not now when I have to frigging sleep.
Who the hell decided it was a good idea to work on a friday evening next to 3 freeway junctions. Start working @ 2-3am on a Sat-Sun night. WTF. I was stuck the length of about 5 miles for 1+ hour on a friday night... And to the lady who doesn't know how to focus your goddamn headlights, get that sh!t fixed. And you were wondering why a couple cars was tailgating your dumb arse and high-beaming you.
GAHH.. Anyone heading northbound on the from irvine/santa ana, watch for this. I guess it's a lot better to head down Katella or those other streets off of Main until you pass the 57.
EDIT: k whew..i needed to blow off some steam. I was driving from SD to my hometown in diamond bar (where my folks live) for the weekend (and lots of free food and leftovers yummy!). they're always doing work on the 5, but it's on the waay weee hours of the morning. In all my years of driving around so. cal, this is the first time where extremely slow traffic of this magnitude was caused by maintenance. It had better been something insane like a gas leak or a sink hole.... There were periods of about 1-3 minutes of absolutely no movement. Last time i remember this happenning was when a car caught on fire.
