okay, so i've been watching anime and reading manga pretty much nonstop for the past couple weeks. (aside from applying to jobs, exercise, eating..etc)

i've watched:

Code Geass (and R2) <-- favorite
Claymore
Bleach
Naruto
Inuyasha
Ouran High School Host Club <-- second favorite
Ah! My Goddess! <-- just finished
Rosario + Vampire
dot hack everything
Serial Experiments Lain

some others

I've also read the assosciated mangas for everything mentioned above (assuming they had one) as well as: (notables mentioned here)

Vampire Knight
No Bra <--- Wish they'd hurry and translate more of this
Mysterious Girlfriend X
Some others...

I guess i like ecchi + shounen type stuff, but does anyone have any suggestions on others i might like? I've seen some of the Gundam Wing stuff, but I couldnt stand the first series. (maybe because of bad animation...maybe cause of bad dubbing..and not having the undubbed stuff) I've also seen some of the more stupid anime like sailor moon, but i couldnt take 5 minutes of that.

I've been trying to find berzerk!, but i cant find it. at least, not in a format i'll accept. I'll continue looking for it tho.

Death Note runs with a similar idea of someone with a secret power trying to change the world by executing his Sweet Plans.

Full Metal Panic + sequels
Fullmetal Alchemist
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (really excellent series)

Samurai Champloo

it's a unique anime. i love the outlandish scenarios, and people asking why this is happening.

"did there used to be a grand piano here?"

"well yeah.. it is a music room..."

well, i watched neon genesis evangelion... was pretty good.

I watched ikki tousen, but it wasnt really what i was looking for seems it had ecchi for the sole purpose of having ecchi, to the point that it's target audience is strictly limited to 14 year old boys :/

Absolutely loved this one. Just watched it over the last few days, so much better than the rest of the whole harem highschool crap that's out there (Kanon, Kodomo No Jikan, Kanokon, Clannad, etc.). Hopefully they'll have more.

My wife loves Azumanga Daioh, about half of the 1TB of video on my HTPC is anime right now, we've pretty much watched all of it too.

Another you may like if you like AD is Minami-ke, very similar.

Was wanting to get into some anime again recently so I took a look at Planetes as many suggested. Was really bored with it through the first 4 episodes though, just seemed like run of the mill anime stuff. Think I'm going to move on to something else.

I started watching Astro Sun Fighter Red myself... it's such a strange anime and has an odd art style to it. It's about a Seinen (I can never spell that word... the Japanese term for masked fighter... it's what Power Rangers are) fighter that's umm I guess you could say living the opposite life as seen in some shows. The bad guys are weenies and are practically frightened by Red yelling at them.

Although it doesn't hold a candlestick to Guu when it comes to odd fun.

You should take a peek at my media server . Let's just say that I need something larger than 2TB HDD to get all my anime in one "place."

I've got three 500GB in a RAID5 now, I'll be moving that array over to my home server, and probably tossing in three 1.5TB drives once the prices come down (and reliability goes up) as replacements. The box also has three tuners in it (one single and one dual card), which is constantly recording stuff, so it fills up quick.
