Not to litter up the thread with useless posts... especially since I generally dislike all the lolcat pics. But I saw this and I laughed. It begs to be captioned "I really CAN haz cheezeburger!!!"

It didn't have a caption, but I think that's the best haz cheezeburger pic I've ever seen. Go #42!

I would like to throw my name in for the Razer Tiamat 7.1 Circumarual Surround Gaming Headset. I live in an apartment and work a lot, so I haven't been able to game as much lately due to only having speakers and getting home late. I have yet to invest in some headsets so I can play without disturbing the neighbors, so hopefully this'll fix that.

I have a solid gaming setup with:
i5-2500k
MSI P67A-GD65 (which has 7.1 audio)
GTX570
8GB Mushkin 1033 memory
Samsung F3 program drive
Crucial m4 128gig SSD system drive

My favorite genres of games are FPS and 3rd person action. Currently playing Max Payne 3, CS:GO, Sleeping Dogs, BF3, Tribes: Ascend.

I've always found this little guy adorable:

Sit back and relax, you're entered.

Thank you kind sir

50$ Steam game(s)

Have you browsed the above items and found you don't need or want any of them ? Is your post count too low to enter ? Is your rig so uber that you don't qualify to enter ? Then this is the item for you to enter for ! Anybody and everybody who didn't enter for a piece of hardware may enter for this one.

If you enter for this and win, I will steam-gift you a steam game, or a handful of games not totalling more than 50 USD$

I have been known to increase the number of these Steam gifts depending on demand. So it is possible I may increase it to two or three gifts of 50$, but I may not as well.

Restrictions: None

Directions (All of these must be done):
- Tell me what game(s) you would choose if you won.
- Think hard about your favorite game of all time, what is it ?
- (Optional) post a funny picture of an animal, cat, dog, guinee pig, whatever you want. Because I can't get enough !
- Relax, you're entered.
Very nice idea! Though I would qualify for a couple of other categories I am not living in the US, so game it is for me! I am seeing the prices in euros so not quite sure if I stick within the 50 USD limit...

I would pick Borderlands 2, since many of my old TF2 friends are getting it. Or Ghost Recon - Future Soldier, since it looks like interesting game play.

My favorite game of all time is XCom - Enemy Unknown, (aka UFO). It was the only game I played for about 4 years, and I knew it so well towards the end that had to invent new rules for myself to create a challenge, such as only one base, never hire any additional soldier than the starting troupe etc. I loved that game! (In the gay way) Been through so many disappointments waiting for a decent successor.

This pic is a classic, but awesome:

*Fingers crossed*

Just wanted to say that this is a very cool thing to do.

I'm out of the running for everything, but congrats for the winners!
(My gaming backlog is way too big, better for some one who really wants a game or two)

My exact position.

Kudos for sending stuff out without asking for anything more than a little fun.

Razer Tiamat 7.1 Circumarual Surround Gaming Headset

This image has been resized. Click this bar to view the full image. The original image is sized 1599x956 and weights 356KB.

These headphones are phenomenal for first person shooters, and pretty average for everything else. Though I often play FPS, I couldn't stand swapping them out with my SteelSeries Siberia V2 cans to listen to music with. So now that I don't use them they're up for grabs. Oh, and they're about 2 weeks old with maybe 10 hours of total use, practically brand new.

Restrictions: You may not enter for the headset if you already have a mid/highend headset already. Use common sense, I would say if they cost more than 50 dollars they are at least mid range.

You must have either a sound card with 7.1 inputs (front, rear, side, sub, mic) or 7.1 inputs on your motherboard, which many now have. These headphones cannot be used without these inputs as they are physically 7.1 not 2.0 ! If you are not sure what you have you can ask in this thread.

You must have at least 50 posts at the time of entering, if you enter without having 50 posts you will not qualify.

This is not a restriction, but I strongly suggest anybody considering entering for these headphones be an avid FPS gamers, and either have a decent 7.1 soundcard or are planning on getting one. Again, not a restriction just a very logical suggestion, as if you plan on using these to play music or don't want to invest in a 7.1 soundcard you will be shortchanging what this headset is actually made for.

Directions (All of these must be done):

- List your computer specs
- Tell me what games you play/what your favorite games are.
- Post a picture of the cutest cat you can find on the interwebs
- Sit back and relax, you're entered.

Good luck to everyone

Core i7 2600k
MSI P67A-GD65 (integrated 7.1 audio, for now)
16gb Corsair Vengeance DDR3
850w XFX PSU
AMD/ATI 4670 1gb
2x 64gb SSD
4x 1TB hdd

Games I play? FPS! BF3 All day every day at the moment. Though I do try to slip in a bit of time for other games, on rare occasion. I never pass up a good FPS though.

Lovely little card, comes with an excellent overclock and one of the best coolers around. This card is just over a month old, it has been used in my brother's PC. It is no longer needed because I recently swapped it with one of my three GTX670 4GB, which sadly never gave me much advantage over just SLI.

Restrictions: You may not enter if your current video card is at GTX 560 (Nvidia) or 5850/6870 (ATI) or higher. This is not a very high bar, but it should allow a fair amount of people to enter, and to also be getting a legitimately decent upgrade if they win, which is the important part.

Not sure where your card matches up ? Check this GPU heirarchy chart to see if you can enter. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-7.html

Secondly, you must have at least 75 posts here at Anandtech at the time of entering. If you enter with less than 75 posts you will not be qualified.

Thirdly, you must have an available PCI-E slot, and a proper power supply (brand name, greater than 400W I would imagine.)

Directions (all of these must be done):

- List your computer specs
- Tell me briefly what you hope to use the card for and what games you play.
- post a picture of your rig !
- sit back and relax, you are now entered.

Intel Pentium D 925 Presler @ 3.0GHz
Ancient D945GTP Intel Workstation Mini ATX Board (BLAST that ONE PCI Slot!)
PSU is a 460W out of an HP server, Delta Electronics I believe
4GB DDR2 RAM
Nvidia 9800GT 512MB Video (12 Lines from the top of the chart, and 6 lines under the cutoff, think im good here lol)
2 x 64GB Samsung SSD in RAID 0 (this is the only thing that saves this computer speed wise, it maxes out the HDD Windows Index number at 7.9, everything else is in the 4s 5s and 6s)

I haven't been gaming much lately as I have been studying my ass off for the CISSP certification. However when I do game I play Guild Wars, Minecraft, Counter Strike Source and Wolfenstein Enemy Territory. Mostly because those are the games my 6 some odd year old hardware can still play smoothly. With the new card I could finally maybe get Guild Wars 2, perhaps Skyrim, Portal 2 and a few other of those new fangled games the kids are playing these days. If nothing else maybe give me an excuse to get a new board/proc/memory since my last actual upgrade to a PC i BOUGHT (these are all handmedown parts) was in 2004.

I 'qualify' for all the items, but somewhat in the spirit of the OP, I'm going to let others win them, I don't really need them. Instead, just saying thanks to the OP, nice offer.

Edit: continuing the spirit of the OP, I decided to see if any of the Steam contestants are after a game I have available in my large 'gift' inventory.

So, I declare Eldorado99 the winner of the game he asked for, Civ 4 complete - just PM me the steam game name to send it to.

(It's up to the OP about leaving him in the original drawing, since the value of that game is well under the $50 contest amount).

Foxconn H-RS880-uATX
4GB DDR3 RAM
Integrated ATI 4200 HD (don't laugh :[)
Corsair CX430
Prebuilt in a NZXT M59

I'd use the card to install some games I was gifted a couple months ago (borderlands, just cause 2, mafia ii, GTA IV, and left for dead 2). Had a gtx 460 that I had to sell to replace my monitor. Now, you'd catch me playing cs 1.6 and semi-laggy css.

Lastly, I do these giveaways out of the goodness of my heart (and wallet) please be honest about your PC specs, if your cooler, headphones or video card exceeds the limit to enter, then don't enter. The Steam game giveaway was made specifically to give everybody a chance to win something, so enter for that instead. My giveaways are honest, and I expect honesty from those participating. Let's keep things as smooth as possible so I will be allowed to do more of these, if you have any questions about the giveaway, go ahead and ask, or send me a PM.

Good luck to everyone

For now I chose the steam gift, but I PM'd OP regarding a question of mine, and depending on his answer (havent received PM back yet) I might change it to the 7850.

The games that I would want are:
ARMA 2 Combined Ops (for the dayZ mod) and Half-Life 1
My favorite game is easily Half-Life 2, but Rush 2 for the N64 is a close second.
Here is a funny picture of my actual dog that I took at midnight a few months ago, he was trying to eat the cat shit but got his head stuck in the litter box

Thanks man

Saints Row 3 and Farm Simulator!!!

Favorite game of all time is Battlefield 1942. It was amazing when it came out.
We had a 48 hour LAN party at my apartment. Driving and flying vehicles was just amazingly fun... and that was just the demo with 1 map... Wake Island!

Thanks!

Er, Jhu, you realize you can only do OpenCL development on an AMD card?

I thought about going for the 7850 to work on the OpenCL version of my Twin Prime Sieve. But then I remembered that AMD's compiler was so bad last time I tried that I had to move half the computation to the CPU. D: Of course, that was a couple years ago.
