It seems for the past 10 years or so almost every year I get one or more fraudulent charges on my CC. I'm with Band of America. In the past the process was a little complicated where they had to send you a letter where you filled out a claim and then it was knocked off within a few weeks (they did give a temp credit).
Now it's all electronic. Recently Someone tried to charge $1,900 and 1.27 for airplane tickets, the CC company denied it automatically. Seems they are getting better at it. One thing to note whenever this happened they sent me new credit cards with new numbers... In addition I've never had to pay for something I didn't buy. I'm just curious is this a common thing for people?
