Amanda Todd, 15, killed herself recently after a couple years of bullying by one person in particular. Supposedly he talked into her showing her boobs on camera, which he then used against her relentlessly, including posting the pic for all her friends to see on facebook.

She tells her heartbreaking story here, 1 month before committing suicide.

Today Anonymous outed the alleged cyber bully on pastebin.com.

story

If this is the cyber assailant, he deserves what he's going to get for this exposure, ie life destroyed.

Yea it's a really sad story. At first I thought this was related to the uproar with Gawker outting that guy on Reddit but it's a different story.

I just hope they were absolutely certain it was him. Otherwise they did this other Kody a big disservice!

I saw a post on facebook of some kid that lives near me that said, "Going to take down Amanda Todd's bleach drinking record."

I laughed.

she committed suicide by drinking bleach?

She tried, but was taken to the hospital in time to get her stomach pumped and she recovered from it. That's where the joke came from, perpetuated by this guy, according to her, even after she changed schools etc.

Um... and why was he not arrested for child porn to begin with the first time he posted it?

Or hell she could had been and then prevented from killing herself.

Sounds like he's guilty of something, even if it didn't happen to be this particular case. Fuck him.

The RCMP is on the case, they have over 400 tips, but it's a good thing they got Anonymous giving them a helping hand. And to think that the RCMP were prosecuting Anonymous because they released details of some corrupt Canadian Politician.

I watched most of her video after seeing in the news for so many days after her suicide. I found it really sad but it's kind of strange how social media and technology seemed to be behind all this crap. The kids really take this stuff seriously. I think Facebook should be shut down and what does a kid need a cell phone for?

It's more of the parents job to monitor what his/her son or daughter are doing online. It's the parents fault that provide them with a smart phone; they just give them the old dummy phone, where they can't surf the web or FB.

So Amanda Todd's misery is a joke to you people? This is exactly how online bullying starts. Thinking you are cool and funny by singling people out and utilizing other people's misery.

The guy who posted her picture and circulating rumors is definitely guilty and deserved to be assraped for the rest of his life. (but I hope Anonymous get the right person though) But people online, in Amanda's school, making joke, making more rumor, making tasteless comments all contributed to her death.

^^Do you think there was also a chance she wasn't right in the head? People do commit suicide for lots of reasons but the primary one is they are...I don't know.

Doesn't matter if she was right in the head or not. People online, in her school has no right to make fun of her. Doesn't matter if she made one stupid mistake online, doesn't matter if she looks nerdy, doesn't matter if she wasn't cool, doesn't matter if she talks funny. No one has the right to make fun of her.

Bullying is a serious problem in the US and around the world. It starts with making fun of people, taking pleasure out of others pain and suffering. People think it harmless, fun and cool. But unless you are the target of bullies, you have no idea how much damage you are causing. How many school shootings and suicides do we need to learn the lesson?

Sorry for being an uncool old geezer, but this a serious issue. you can joke, have good natured fun all you want with your friends. But please don't build your pleasure on top of other's misery.

It depends on what you do.

Asking for it like some do online bring it on themselves for trying to be attention whores.

I don't know and care enough about this story to compare it but starting off by exposing yourself when you are 15 to a 30 year old guy seems like a poor decision there.

Exactly. You don't know. It still doesn't excuse any of those people from the assault, or the blackmail, or the harassment. If this happened to an adult, these people would be charged. But since it happened to a teenage girl...well. She must have been...I don't know.

NO. "ASKING FOR IT" IS NOT ENOUGH.

Still trying to figure out why they never arrested him for being a pedo and posting child porn.

Flashing your boobs in a anonymous camera site like chat roulette or a few others is not asking for it but is instead simply a stupid act for fun and giggles generally at such a young age.

What I talked about would be what some "internet celebs" do and make very public stories and then complain when they get made fun of just like real celebrities do for doing stupid stuff.

It kinda seems like parenting fail also as was mentioned and if nothing was done about that guy then that needs a explanation also as it said he was from canada and they have decent laws dealing with this unlike some 3rd world areas.

They are not going to arrest anyone because Anonymous said something. The RCMP are investigating. In fact, if Anonymous was NOT anonymous, the RCMP would be arresting them.

I'm sure she was a very sad person, and I feel sorry for her family.

On the other hand I have no qualms ridiculing a selfish little bitch like that. Survival of the fittest and she obviously wasn't so she saved the universe some time.

If she died in a car crash I would not say anything about her, but suicide is 100% the most selfish thing a person can do. That type of person doesn't deserve your sympathy and will get none of mine.

So you get to make fun of people and put people down cause they make one stupid mistake when they are 15? Who are you to judge them and think you are better?

You cannot just leave people alone and instead you have to put them down because they did something you don't approve?

Totally didnt realize this dirt bag was like a 5 min drive from my house. Although that does explain why a few of my friends were talking about paying him a "visit".
