Does anyone have access to local, city, regional, or national newspapers? Would they, could they be interested in doing an article on distributed processing as it relates to Team Anandtech? maybe they could include distributed.net and TAs FAQ as reference for more information?

Surely, in a country of 250 million people, and with a membership around the world, we can assimilate enough people with enough computers to put the smack down on the DPC.

I know we can, I know we are, as evidenced by our increase in keyrate. But let's re-double our efforts, re-think our options, re-ask our friends.

Guys, they are still dumping. If you watch the daily participant results they have members up dozens, even hundres of places. Day before yesterday, they had some that were up thousands of places. Then they drop back down where they were.

It's to bad that people think that cracking this code refers to hacking, and although it is actually hacking, it is also very innocent but most people don't know that .
And this is why a lot of papers don't want to place information about this in their paper, they don't want to be involved in hacking stuff.
This is the story in The Netherlands and since in the USA the rage against hackers is much bigger i think that your papers really never want to place this stuff in their paper, what is good for the DPC but very, very bad for distributed(.net)

PS. You guys are going good at the Olympics, i've seen some basketball this night (i changed my living rythem because of the time difference , keep on going there in Sydney )

russ: there isn't any organized megaflushing going on anymore.. what is happening now is subteams saving up and flushing in order to get top 10 ranks WITHIN DPC.
But even at this pace it would take DPC almost half a year to catch up, so you guys still have plenty of time to get ion shape and hold of the 'threath'

Current (1.8m-2.6m) scores are standard scores for the DPC at RC5 right now.
Flushing &quot;mini-teams&quot; do NOT add that much to the total day amount. Yesterday was a good example of that. 2.5m Without individual top scoring &quot;mini-teams&quot;.

Right, i mean tuesday's scores. Almost nobody has seen them, but they were there.

What i'm trying to say is that the DPC's output per day will be 1.9m or more. With or without any personal flushes. No more &quot;after MF6&quot; bull. Regular output.

Do we have to repeat 1,000,000 times that Team Anandtech is not &quot;Team America&quot;. It is just another hardware website team (a big one, but not a national team).

If you run the numbers by country on DNET's site, you'll see that there are tons and tons of blocks cracked from USA teams, many, many more than any other country (if you care).
