UPDATE: i just got off the phone with bill @ unisave.com and he was saing that alot of people had been hammering overstock.com with giftcert numbers and that there system had stop axcepting the numbers.. he is compliing a list of real buyers and is going to send out an e-mail and is going to tell overstock.com to reset the numbers so you can use your gc numbers..

ANd I wonder how they're going to have Overstock.com reset only the unused gift certificate numbers...

This still all sounds shady to me. They're still selling gift certificates on their site, so there's no reason they shouldn't be giving us new numbers to use. Now. And he still hasn't responded to any of my e-mails.

Overstock just sent me the following email:

The coupon amount will appear when you visit our site using this email address and will be automatically deducted from your total when you check out.

When I try to purchased either the 10 or 20 GC I get that this coupon is not available at this time so looks like deal is dead.

I received this e-mail today. When I tried to reply to them (orderinfo@overstock.com) with the GC number, I get an error message from Yahoo Mail saying it can't find that address. I received my first order yesterday, U-571 DVD. No charges on my CC yet.

Called Overstock.com this morning @ (801) 947-3100 option 2. Use Phonehog.com if you don't want to pay long distance. Told them about the GC Unisave.com problem and CSR told me that they are aware of the it. I gave them the GC number and they credited my account.

BTW, they raised the price on MI2, Gone in 60 Seconds, The Patriot, Chicken Run and Scream to $20.95. Bastards!!
