Prime95 5 hour loop

max speed on 1.50v = 3533mhz / 252fsb
max speed on 1.55v = 3575mhz / 255fsb
max speed on 1.60v = 3616mhz / 258fsb so far (testing 260fsb next)

I saw it, that's why I passed the comment. I'm sticking with my 2.4C @3060 def vcore (255FSB sync) unil I can get my grubby hands on a 2.8C/3.0E @ 255 FSB @ def vcore . Nice OC btw

from what ive seen / heard ~ all of ZZF's 2.8C's are M0s.

my first 2.8C (last month) only did about 240fsb.
3.5ghz (250fsb) on default voltage is VERY rare to see, in any chip. (actual prime95 5+ hours stable)

255fsb was a nogo ~ but im pretty sure it will do better then 250.
3.6ghz should be an easy shoe-in with mild voltage (1.6v)

4+ hours and prime95 is still chuggin along (while multitasking) @ 250fsb def vcore
ill stop it at 5 hours and go for 252 next (i already know 255 is a nogo)

yep exactly, and ZZF has the new batch of 2.8Cs willing to get you there

edit: 250fsb 1.5v (cpuz) has completed 5 hours ~ ill be testing 252fsb next.

I had no problem going to 3.5 when I first got my 2.8 M0 with an Alpha PAL with 1.55 volt setting - listed 1.52 in BIOS and CPUZ. I still run 1.55 now with a corsair hydrocool 200 EX and have had no errors running Prime95, SuperPI, etc... I also run 1:1 with Corsair PC4000 mem

These chips are great!!!

Just curious, how high do you think the last of the Northwoods will O/C at def vcore (next year)?

I am guessing over 4 Ghz.

edit: mines a 2.80c from 12/27/03 . . . SL6Z5 (costa Rica) not sure of the stepping . . . only does 3.31 Ghz at default . . . 3.4 with a mild boost and has booted into Win at 3.6 (with a BIG boost) . . .

my view on that is kinda skewed due to the chips ive owned during the last year.

1 year ago ~ i had a 2.53b that ran P95 @ 3.4ghz on def vcore.
6 months ago ~ i had a 2.4b that ran P95 @ 3.4ghz on def vcore.
yesterday ~ i got my 1st chip that can run P95 @ 3.5ghz on def vcore.

so my response would have to be ~ only 100mhz a year.

like someone pointed out, the recent boost is due to the release of the 3.4ghz chip.

Wasn't the 3.4c supposed to be the last of the Northwoods? . . . seriously, i doubt it due to AMD competition . . . I think there is a LOT left in that .13 micron process (that won't hopefully be downgraded into another castrated Celeron that'll go into Intel's (new) low(er) end.

Look at the last of the PIIIs; they could BARELY make 1+ Ghz and the last steppings O/C 20% . . . same with the Tualatins - barely made their rated speed but now routinely O/C 25%.

My GUESS is that we shall ALL see a lot of cheap Northwood UPgrades - next year - hitting ~4 Ghz . . . or higher

. . . but then I have been wrong before (we'll see).

EDIT: I seriously doubt that YOU are a good example - you've always handpicked CPUs and/or been extremely lucky with your O/Cs - the ones you got were exceptional for their "day".
