I ordered mine late last week with free shipping, arrived today since it was shipped one state over =P

I have 2 stuck pixels, green stuck on, that I notice so far. The pixels are so tiny, and since they are stuck on, i dont really notice them unless the screen is black or dark.

So that makes me wonder. What's Dells policy on stuck pixels? How many before they'll take em back?

Within 21 days you can return it for any reason from what the customer service rep told me tonight.

Had a friend return one because of one dead pixel near the top right corner. Dell took it back and shipped a replacement no problem. And yes, sweet price. Trying to convince my wife to buy me a 2001FP for Christmas, now that prices are getting so reasonable.

the first one I ordered had a wierd lag problem. It was almost as though the mouse curser was connected to the mouse with a rubber band or something.. hard to explain. I made a vid with my digital camera if someone wants to host.


It's most noticable if you are running dual monitors; and have 1/2 of a window on the 2001fp and half on my other 17in lcd or whatever and move it up and down... it's very noticable that the 2001fp LAGS bigtime


Dell is shipping me a replacement.. should be here sometime this week

Ordered mine last week. $702 with sales tax (despite numerous places <including my invoice> listing the "sales tax states" on Dell's website not listing NJ. Called and they said that as of 9/1/04 they collect NJ sales tax. I "suggested" they may want to update their website sometime before the 22nd century.) Received yesterday, got it hooked up last night. One pixel stuck "on" on the left side of the screen. Since it is only noticeable on a fully black screen, and after serval hours of real-world use I didn't notice it at all, I'm going to keep this one.

Beautiful monitor. Now, if I can only get my hand on a reasonably priced 6800GT, I can start gaming in 1600 X 1200 whenever possible...

Yes, NewEgg started charging sales tax on orders shipped to NJ a few months ago. They say they have a "presence" in the state, yet all my orders from them have been shipped from CA. I still think New Egg is a great place to order from, I just hate paying sales tax.

I have orderd from them a few times in the past where some of the items in my order were shipped from NJ.

I got the 2001FP last week in a similar Dell deal and it is the absolute best! DVI and VGA inputs are nice, so are the SVIDEO and RCA. Also I like how you can tilt it 90deg for tall format viewing. I'm tempted to get another just to make my dual screen setup more consistant.

Not to head off-topic but it depends on if a company has a warehouse or something in the state. New Egg now stores some stuff here in NJ which is why they tax. I suppose maybe dell opened up some offices or something, I'm not sure about why they started to tax.
