Heh. Maybe the US is trying to convince the Japanese not to dump their Dollar holdings, start a run. Gotta remember that he who dumps first dumps best, and it's not like the Dollar is ripe for a naked short-selling melee... huh-uhh, couldn't be...

It'll probably be our own patriotic investor class who does the deed- do unto others before they do unto you and all that...

Perhaps if you think of a Zen Master or even a 10th Degree Black Belt Martial Arts person... That person does not loose their self esteem by their acts of respect or by being humble... They learn and they know who they are!
If you feel you've lost something by Obama's actions then I'd suggest he gave your self esteem away cuz he must have had it to give it away... ya better run go get it fast and next time learn to keep it under guard...

These are girly men who have shrunken testicles. Everything for them is about appearances. As long as their cod piece looks good they feel safe and like all good little girls they look up to Daddy. If Daddy looks weak it's time to run to the potty and complain somebody didn't put down the toilet seat.

Cowards die many times before their deaths.....

Actually, I am reminded of how the outraged righties under Obama are just as assinine as the outraged lefties were under Bush.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

you don't see the difference? Obama can fix the 8 years of damage in half a year? rrrright. I will give him till its time to vote again and then I will see where he is and what we have done as a nation to get passed those tards. But some of you guys seem to think that Bush was a good choice still. Hell even if you don't the simple fact that at one point in time you did means your judgment is screwed. It was so obvious from the beginning that he was a fool.

While putting down that toilet seat some folks should remember that all this kissy bendy stuff is all about protocol. Obama like every other diplomat and President have their actions scripted down to how many sips of wine to drink.
But, I know CADapotomus gets more out of the needling than the facts of the matter... hehehehhehehehe. He's rather like a giant mosquito buzzing about while ya try to sleep....
Those who gain their self esteem vicariously had better switch parties when needed to keep from the drudges of depression... I can't imagine how they felt seeing Ford tumble down from AF 1.... :0

Bow to see eye to eye would be fine as he is taller. Do not low bow to someone, let alone anyone, when you are the President of the United States.

I am all for him being diplomatic and having good relationships with other countries. Just don't do things that others will even get the idea of him being inferior.
Wow, if your ego is stroked much more, I think it'll grow large enough to bounce some of us out of the thread.

Should US presidents do some real chest-beating as a greeting? You know, it might work as a good way to establish dominance, especially when followed by some guttural grunting sounds. Might as well go all-out if you want to cave in to moronic ideals of needing to to appear as the alpha male - or in your case, have the illusion that the US president's behavior somehow makes you look better or worse.

What pissed me off about Mr Bush's adminstration was the Iraqi war, Patriot Act, the response to Katrina, the outing of Ms Plame, the co-oping the US Justice Dept to forward political objects, etc. You know where the US and peoples lives were negatively affected.

The crap you guys get your knickers in a twist over is so lame that it makes you sound like political hacks. What is this thread about? The leader of the most powerful country in the world bowed?

My favorite anti-Obama outrage was the response to Mr Obama announcing he was going to address the country's school children.

Wow, I see this on Drudge earlier today and sure enough, the 'conservatives' here are on this like flies on sh*t. This is a non-issue. It will not affect the lives of anyone here stateside in any way. If the Obama wants to do this to help improve our image abroad - so be it. There is plenty to criticize Obama about - but this isn't it. It only serves to de-legitimize those who make a stink over this.

No just reading your posts make me feel better about myself you sniveling little ..well you know

Seriously Red, its like you aren't even trying anymore. 99% of your posts are either 'But Bush' or and insult toward the person you are talking to. And honestly they are pretty lame insults, you aren't even creative in that. I'm honestly expecting you to start setting up your own macros and making use of things like "Kiss my ( ! )".

Except they didn't. You've been here long enough to realize CAD lacks the ability to read, comprehend, and accurately present others' words and thoughts. He suffers from cognitive dissonance. He sees what he needs to see to support his twisted view of the world, and he presents whatever best matches his agenda, no matter how inaccurate it may be.

The NYT piece was a somewhat lighthearted look at the protocol of greeting foreign dignitaries. It didn't blast Clinton. At most it poked a little fun, but it also repeated a comment that was quite flattering about how Clinton handled it.

You shouldn't bother wasting your time explaining reality to TLC. He and his ilk have their heads so far up their asses trying to appear non-partisian that they can see their eye teeth.

Obama bowed to a foreign leader? Shit, I guess that means we're not a superpower anymore.

There was a time that this might have been important, a refusal to offer deference. Back When we were a revolutionary country, proudly defiant of the Old Order of kings and nobles. When we weren't the most powerful single nation in human history, these dainty gestures mattered. But not anymore.

Obviously, we must present an image of unchanging resolve and perpetual swagger so that we will be feared by our enemies.

Like Japan. LOL!...

A floppy dick without balls does create a high pitched whine. That big bad Obama didn't put the toilet seat down.

It is really a conservative disease, the need to maintain patriarchal control and male dominance, a fear of the feminine, the soft, the emotional, all the things that make men good fathers good mates and human.

It is an ancient disease, a deep hatred for self transmitted to boys and insulting them as babies. In their reaction to being feminine they grow up with wide stances, repressed homosexuality, and the fear they are gay. Don't forget that when you bow you offer your ass to the person behind you, and the right is always focused on that area.

Liberals have their own diseases but this isn't one of them.
