RossMan, sounds like the similar runaround of taking forever to refund credit cards....

hanybanoub, no matter how strong the dollar is against currency. I believe almost all other countries pay more for their laptops (probably due to buying power or something like that). I had a friend who was working on a business to sell new/used/refurbuished laptops to Asia, and he said it's big business because of the lack of laptops much less computers over there and that they would pay premium even for 'seconds'. You would think in places like Taiwan you can find cheaper memory prices because they come from there but that's wrong. I went there a few years back and the prices they said were cheap were almost double of what it was here in the US.

6 to 8 weeks is enough to make it impossible to dispute it on your credit card, I know of one person that uses the scammed money for daytrading.(he scammed me) He runs adds in classifieds2000 (Watch out there, tons of bogus listings). If you ordered one just make sure to dispute it before the 60 days (or whatever your credit card allows).
I was tempted to order one, but appreciate the warnings that saved me
all the time & aggravation involved with dealing with people like this.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!

I ordered a laptop from them last summer and after they delayed my order for THREE MONTHS they finally credited my money back only AFTER I THREATENED THEM WITH LEGAL ACTION.

Customer service only responds when you are a) buying a new laptop or b) ready to sue. You will never get a response otherwise. Stay FAR FAR away from these a-holes.

I am not saying they are a scam, I know someone who ordered several laptops from them and received them all without ANY problems but then again he was dealing with their business sales department.

Beware of the fake posts on usenet praising this company, they are usually from deja accounts with no prior posting history. Oh yeah, guess what account the &quot;ceo&quot; uses to reply from? Yep a deja account, talk about professional. These guys aren't just taking your money and running, they aren't that stupid. Basically you are just giving them an interest free loan, kind of like how a bank work. You give them your money and they can make interest off it. Not necessarily a scam since they do refund you your money but they are definitely shady. I'd only give this a shot only if you have a 0% interest rate on your credit card so you never have to actually pay anything if they don't ship.

My thoughts on this &quot;hot deal&quot; is that if it's truly a great deal, then it's worth fighting for.

Ive noticed that alot of you all think people are scaming you. Maybe if you actually ordered and didnt get one you can say its a scam but to just say it makes you just as bad. when you list a low price I guess that makes you a scammer also.

So you want to pay more hell I'll sell you some beads and call them jewels if you want to pay 200.00 for a bag.

especially if its like Microsoft. you spend 200.00 for a program that really sucks I guess that means if it actualy was a good program youd shell out 1000.00 for it.

this is a scam. i agree with the previous posts that mentioned how they borrow money with no interest.
they took $1600 from us and kept it for 8 months. all i hope is that they lost money in the market during that time.
