I don't disagree with you that "objectionable" material is not always treated the same way. I think it should be. But those who own/run the forums get to decide on what they find appropriate. ATOT and ATPN are definitely anti-religion, but I don't have a problem with that, to each his own.

It's probably not worth my time to write a replying to Routan, but the way the transition council "Thugs" are different than Gaddafi is that they have a fairly democratic constitution that they are implementing once the fighting is finished, have committed to free elections in 8 months and have disqualified themselves from running in those elections.
Just the fact that they've made those promises sets them apart from a dictator like Gaddafi and if they follow through, then that's a huge difference in my book.

The council with a "fairly democratic constitution" is using weapons supplied by non-Libyans to forcibly enforce their interpretation of the system of government, including using Libyan money and resources to dole out re-construction contracts to countries that assisted them?

I mean the French sent a lot of weapons and money to the "Rebels" during the revolutionary war to further their interests in this part of the world. Call me crazy, but despite all the religious nuts here at the time, that seems to have turned out alright.
As for the constitution, the one I saw was on the internet as a draft constitution that apparently hasn't been authenticated. It did have most Western ideals in there such as multiparty elections and rule of law (although there was also something about Sharial Law being the law of the land). Either way, they now have at least a chance at democracy instead of being under totalitarian rule.
Let me make it simple for you then, since all of you just like to pick random issues in the post and make that into a discussion rather than the original post.
A bunch of thugs armed by the weapons of France, Italy and Britain, has now "liberated" and "freed" Libya, and are paving the way to a "democratic" government.
A ruthless dictator is far better than ruthless thugs out to fill their pockets by selling "reconstruction contracts" to those that supported them. They havent "freed" Libya. They have simply assumed power as hired guns of NATO Its not any improvement.
Obviously they are thugs. They are hired by the NATO to fight against Gaddafi. They arent professional, else I would call them mercenaries. They've destroyed Libyan property, all over. They want the Islamic world held sacred and off limits to infidels, preserved as the pristine honeypots Islam's leaders have created, but insist that Western lands and freedoms be extended to any Muslims who wish to avail themselves of them.You know what's hilarious? Routan started off posting on P&N with a thread entitled "A Muslim Perspective." He tried to come off as the persecuted Muslim who's views are not as extreme as Americans make them out to be.
Over the past year he's basically revealed him to be a caricature of an Islamist. He hates the West, he hates free speech, he hates India, he hates anyone who doesn't roll over to Islam. One might almost think he's a conservative poster trying to make Muslims look bad.
But unfortunately I think he is a real Muslim and that his views are not that uncommon. A recent story (that I almost posted) shows that 10 years later Pakistanis don't really believe basic facts about 9/11. They are on another planet and it doesn't seem like there's even common ground to negotiate understanding.
