Everybody hates all this killing but they also don't want to know the real cause of why it happens. I don't understand how like 1 out of 100 shooters is trans (totally making that number up just for this point) and then all the anti-trans people are like "SEE I TOLD YOU TRANS PEOPLE ARE THE ONES DOING MASS SHOOTINGS THEY ARE BAD!" and totally ignore the other 99 shooters that were non-trans straight people.

It's the same people who are saying that illegals are the ones committing all the crimes and totally ignore all of the crimes that the citizens of the country are committing.
Humans are absolutely terrified to imagine they could do something they regard as terrible, immoral, etc. So what we do is see behavior and immediately try to separate that person into a separate group that doesn't include them. Yep. That's why terrible NPIC interest groups use scary sounding percentages when they talk about risk and want X thing banned (looking at you, black kitchen utensils paper that had a math error). "100% increase in risk" sounds scarier than going from 1 in a million to 2 in a million.We're also terrible at evaluating risk/statistics.
