Nice story, but all the "At least you know your sons not gay" post are pissing me off. Why should he care one way or another?

There is something wrong with wanting grandkids? What father wants their son to be gay? Not very many. Should they rag on them and put them down if they are gay? Of course not, but there is NOTHING wrong with wanting a straight son who will produce grandkids....

Its annoying when people try to put a spin on intentions like this, to make CPA look like a homophobe or hater...

Yes, their is something wrong with wanting grandkids, it puts undue expectations on your kids. What if thier not gay, what if they simply don't want kids? Also, gays can adopt, giving you grandkids that way. So what if their your not your genetic material, transcend your genetics!

He was making a post online! Not bending his childrens will to his own desire to have grandkids (if he even does). EVERYONE has desires. You should not suppress these just to make the PC crowd happy. Yes you should be a supportive and loving parent, and no you shouldnt put undue pressure on your kids, but there is no reason someone should disguise their desire for grandkids just to make people like you happy, who for some reason, overreact and find "hidden agendas" in innocuous posts like this one.

Re-read the bolded part above.

There is something wrong with wanting grandkids... There is something wrong with putting undue pressure on your kids... Do you REALLY think people are pressuring their 9 year old kid about having kids anytime soon?

Is there something wrong with me wanting my child to go to college? Is there something wrong with me not wanting my son to become a drug addict? Is there something wrong with me wanting ANYTHING at all for my flesh and blood that I spent 18 years raising up and literally brought into this world?

I know the above examples arent on the same exact wavelength as wanting a child to be straight, but I think most people will get the picture.

I dont hate gay people, I have nothing against people that want that lifestyle. What I do have a problem with are people who jump all over anyone who even insinuates that they might prefer straight friends to gay friends, straight kids to gay kids.... just because you don't want your kid to be gay does not mean you hate gay people, and it sure as hell doesn't mean that you should be publicly denounced because you arent following the PC crowd and talking in PC words.

Firstly, if you look at some of my other posts, you will find being PC is the LEAST of my goals in life. You've also brought another good point up. Many people think that their kids owe them something for bringing them into the world. Rather, parents owe their kids. Children did not ask to be born, it was the parents who made the decision. Further still, the parents owe the children a debt for being allowed to pass on thier genetic material. So, to expect your children to behave in a certain way is grossly disrespectful and presumptive of thier children. Further still, thier is infact something wrong with prefering straight children. This is a diachotomy, where in you are makeing a difference between straight and gay. Civil rights is the issue of people not being viewed as different. Theirfor, parents should not CARE what their childrens sexual preference is, in the same way they should not care if their child is black or white.

True, wish I could say the same about all my boys.

the team or rock part

so you think one of your boys is gay, and as a consequence he doesn't "rock"..?

what makes you think he is gay? and why is that a problem?

No heterosexual man in his right mind would choose to have a gay son. If there was something that could be done to make sure your son was not gay I doubt you would find many heterosexual men that wouldn't do whatever was necessary to prevent their son from being gay. This is totally different from not loving your son if he was gay....but I am sure there are those type out there.

I am sorry if you cannot handle reality.

Why draw the line at gay? Would he think a child into bestiality or necrophilia rocks?

People don't want their children to grow up and be perverts.

You assume the OP thinks it is a problem at all. There was no correlation between being gay and "rocking"/not "rocking" as a result of being gay until you made it. You're grasping at straws, and I am not sure why.

... snip blah blah blah ...

Parents don't get to make that choice. The kid is already here, the only choice is involved is how they are going to respond to their "sissy" son.

That is irrelevant. The point is having a gay son is not something heterosexual people would choose if they could. I realize you can't handle that reality.

Actually no I don't assume that. Notice the question mark.

At any rate, I am interested in why CPA thinks one of his sons might be gay. I am also interested in his thoughts or feelings about this.

Re-read your own question. You asked "why is that a problem" instead of "is that a problem". You assumed it was a problem at all. I agree, the question was obviously to find out just how much of a problem it was. Again, the correlation just wasn't there until you put it there.

Unless I am missing something, as I just joined this thread. I am going off the quoted text.

Admit it, perv. You know just want to molest his male child, lol.

Oh, and make another thread all about gay content.

I still hope you get banned for your never-ending gay.

Do you really think the majority of gay people would choose to have a gay child? I wouldn't wish homosexuality on a child, given that she or he would have to live in a world filled with people who wish harm on gay people.
