I prefer dems not to shoot their load prematurely. I want impeachment to be unanimous and to be for very solid reasons unlike with Clinton. When the history books tell of trumps impeachment I want there to be no political motivation and I want the country to be fully united behind removing trump from office. I'm willing to wait that it instead of getting him on a technicality. I want the next president to feel comfortable filing charges against him with zero thoughts given to weather or not to pardon him.
I totally agree. History has shown that all but one impeachment process in the USA has been for rather blatant political purposes (the exception being Nixon, who wasn't impeached but resigned in the face of inevitable impeachment).
Impeachment is a drastic process, not something done lightly like a "you're fired" TV host would do. We went over a century between the first impeachment and Nixon. The public is now 40% in favor of impeachment, up 10% since this spring. Given the very sloppy defense/coverups by the Trump crowd, there is a very strong probability that either (a) Mueller will come up with a rock solid case and/or (b) Trump will do something so stupid and egregious in the future that his eventual forced removal from office will happen.
And yes, the current bill is purely a symbolic gesture, a censure that has no legal effect other than to pump up Trump's blood pressure and tweet rants more.
