Please don't get me wrong. I am a fan of fish oil (and consume it in large quantities every day). I guess that is also why I tend to research it frequently. So, I came upon these . . .

The conclusion of the JAMA article is, "Overall, omega-3 PUFA supplementation was not associated with a lower risk of all-cause mortality, cardiac death, sudden death, myocardial infarction, or stroke based on relative and absolute measures of association."
I suppose that it still good for its anti-inflammatory properties. It also likely enhances protein synthesis; I am not sure.
This, along with the findings that Lipitor and other statins do little to extend life or reduce cardiac events, the only recourse, I guess, is to eat better (unprocessed quality food) and exercise. Yet, how large is the the pharmaceutical industry?
