Another GA-RVXP bites the dust

I was sold by the hype!! All the tech sites raved about this board and I was sold.

My new system:
350W PS
AMD XP 2000+
GA-RVXP ver 1.1
512MB PC2700 (Samsung)
80G IBM HD
AOpen G4 Ti 4200

I didn't know anything about the G4 problems but I alway flash to the newest Bios so I was running 8F.
It ran fine until I installed the G4 drivers. Random reboots, lock ups, not one 3D game would run all lock up at start.
I called Gigabyte they told me to send it in for some type of repair. I think the tech said 8 weeks for the return time. Or I could
return it for a ver.2.0. I didn't want the headeche if 2.0 had the same problems I just returned it. I have a Soyo Dragon Ultra on the way it will be here Friday. What a pain this has been note to self do more research before you fall for the hype on the net!!!

Sorry man, that sucks. I've been eyeing this board almost since it came out, almost bought it on numerous occasions. This whole AGP voltage thing has been the only reason I haven't gotten it yet.

I remember when the problem was with the 1.0 revision and everybody said that the 2.0 revision would fix this problem. Then the 1.1 came out, and there seemed to be some confusion wether the 1.1 was the 2.0 revision or what?

Seem that this problem has been fixed now? Is there indeed a revision 2.0 (labled 2.0 on motherboard?) which runs fine? Hmmmm?
