BTW guys, the car in the video is a 85 Toyota Corolla HB... It has a HUGE following in Japan since it's a cheap RWD car that's light and has great handling (easy to control when drifting)...

That wasnt even drifting... that guy just oversteered and went off the road...

He let off the gas at a critial point, the rear end started out, then he tapped the brakes and sealed his fate. Watch the brake lights.

And you are correct, it is not drifting, but I was just offering up the video in the context of this thread

Isn't it usually easier to set up a true four wheel drift in a RWD car anyway??

ummm.... apparently no one told you that the Nissan Skyline (highly modified of course) currently holds the land speed record without using any type of rocket/jet engine.

In general, yes a RWD car is better for drifting than a 4WD or FWD car... However the Corolla is one of the easiest cars to drift among RWD cars... It's also dirt cheap in Japan, so great for beginners...

common sense will tell you that when it says "5 liters or less", they're referring to the engine size, not the damn car. is this what you're asking or did i read that question wrong?

REAL common sense would indicate that a car's CLASS is not dictated by it's Engine size... My truck shars the same engine as the Corvette and Camaro... does that make my 4x4 in the class of sports car... ooops!!! G'nite

Now lets dabble in some more "Common Sense" when I asked "Is it a Tube Frame Chassis car" hmmm lets think about that, Tube Frame Chassis = Race only non street legal car... Solid Chassis (Stock Chassis) means it can be a street legal car... Get the REAL picture now?
