I decided to try out Linux a couple months ago so a friend of mine tried to install Mandrake on my laptop as a dualboot but it wouldn't boot for some reason. So then we tried Fedora Core 3 and finally got it running but I have some major problems with it. My wireless internet does not work, java does not work, I can't access the files from my Windows partition and I have no sound. I really do love yum and linux itself but I am really frustrated with so many things that are not working right now. Is there another Linux distro that would be better for me and provide better hardware support? Should I try Fedora Core 4?
