The US and UK provides asylum to every kind of crook in the world, but suddenly nothing for this lady.
Shows whats real and whats not.
He has yet to provide evidence for any of his posts.Op has yet to provide evidence the US instigated a coup
I guess I never considered Saudi Arabia or Morocco as “the west”Some successful dictators according to the poster above, most of them given refuge in the West. The hypocrisy and denial shines through and through.
- Idi Amin: The former dictator of Uganda, responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people during his reign, was given asylum in Saudi Arabia after being ousted in 1979. Though Saudi Arabia is not a Western country, Amin also spent time in the United Kingdom and France before settling in Saudi Arabia.
- Jean-Claude Duvalier: Also known as "Baby Doc," the former dictator of Haiti fled to France after being overthrown in 1986. He lived there for many years before returning to Haiti in 2011.
- Augusto Pinochet: The former military dictator of Chile was arrested in London in 1998 on charges of human rights violations but was allowed to return to Chile on medical grounds in 2000 without facing trial in the UK.
- Anastasio Somoza Debayle: The Nicaraguan dictator was ousted in 1979 and fled to the United States, then Paraguay, where he was assassinated in 1980.
- Mobutu Sese Seko: The long-time dictator of Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo) fled to Morocco after being ousted in 1997, where he lived in exile until his death later that year.
- Pervez Musharaff
They are both west of IndiaI guess I never considered Saudi Arabia or Morocco as “the west”
They are both west of India
In case anyone wanted to know the full story.
Bangladesh has lost its government. Of course there is violence in a revolution.
Maybe their neighbor, the most populated country on earth, should do something if they don't like it.
Bangladesh prime minister flees to India as anti-government protesters storm her residence
The prime minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, resigned and fled to neighboring India on Monday after protesters stormed her official residence after weeks of deadly anti-government demonstrations in the South Asian nation.Scenes of jubilation erupted on the streets as protesters celebrated the end of her 15 years in power by climbing on tanks and scaling an imposing statue of Hasina’s father, independence leader Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, in Dhaka, attacking the head with an ax.In a national address, Bangladesh’s army chief, Gen. Waker-uz-Zaman confirmed Hasina had resigned and said the military would form an interim government.
I think you meant inside the OP's head...I heard the US lives under the OP's bed.
The former would denote the latter.I think you meant inside the OP's head...
I can see why India would be worried.
India has some work to do.
Almost all countries bordering India have devolved into political or economical turmoil.
Are you ok? From your "article" :
I guess this could constitute a coup ... if you're on massive amounts of psilocybin.

Hasina’s criticism of the United States comes at a time when Washington has pulled up her party – the Awami League – on issues related to human rights.
In December, several former and current leaders of the Rapid Action Battalion were sanctioned by the United States. The RAB, an elite Bangladesh paramilitary unit, is alleged to have carried out enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings on behalf of the government.

They grabbed my brother-in-law’s wife and took her to another room. They raped her. Later, we recovered her; her face was tied with clothes. They wanted to cut her throat. To save her, we gave them all the gold ornaments.”
So do you want the USA to stay out of your business or fix all your problems?https://www.news18.com/world/us-rev...est-ex-pm-seeks-asylum-in-europe-8991997.html

I don't recall India asking US to fix all its problems. All we ask is that US doesn't make it worse. Is that too much to ask? To be a decent government? So do you want the USA to stay out of your business or fix all your problems?
Truth be told, if India did mobilize a force capable of solving said problems...So do you want the USA to stay out of your business or fix all your problems?
I truly am sorry that you feel so powerless.I don't recall India asking US to fix all its problems. All we ask is that US doesn't make it worse. Is that too much to ask? To be a decent government?
You think the one's who replaced the Sheikh Hasina government are respectful of human rights?
Do you really believe that? Please try to be sincere.

That’s awful. Clearly allowing a religious majority to attack a religious minority is bad. Wouldn’t you agree? You think the one's who replaced the Sheikh Hasina government are respectful of human rights?
