Another old machine needs new card thread

I haven't read anything about newer GPU's not supporting legacy bios. I'm sure it would have come up if it was the case.

I've seen plenty of users with motherboards from MSI, Asus and other brands have compatibility issues with Geforce 600/ HD 7000 series and later, and nothing else but a BIOS update solved it.
IME, most users having the issue are those on LGA 1155 motherboards, and if you check the BIOS updates for those boards, chances are there is a note about PCI-E display card.

I have a good experience with ASUS boards. It is very rare for any of those that I have chosen to have a BIOS update to fix graphics issues. The one I am using now had only 4 BIOS updates and none of them had to do with graphics issues. However if it comes to that I am not expecting another BIOS update as my board is quite old. The last BIOS ASUS released for the P6TD Deluxe was back in 2010.
