My boot drive (Samsung 850 Pro) died on my main computer. I've been thinking about replacing the machine anyway but it still sucks. As I type this on my very whiny laptop I am reminded of why I bought a totally silent desktop. Of course now it is even more totally silent. I just don't want to spend the money.
I don't have a problem with most Samsung drives other than 860/870/970 NVMe (last one gets pretty hot). I just have a tunnel vision due to my PDF issues with the 860/870 EVO and 870 user reports. That's all. I was just joking. You know meThere's PLENTY more where these numbers from come from to back up MY claim. Either support what you say with links to CREDIBLE sources or just stop.
They did for me, with a low-profile video card. Waited three days after it's scheduled delivery date, didn't show, got a refund, showed up (separately packaged) with another Amazon delivery 1-2 days later. Not to rain on your parade, but I want to point out that Amazon is not going to gift you SSDs because shipping was delayed. They might issue a refund, but once that package arrives, they'll know and they will still charge you for it. They're not going to refund you and say, "well he can keep the items for free since it took a few extra days."
My own experience is not a credible source? Fine, here's a first person account.
That's a 20% failure rate for me. Also note that the system was built by Puget so they should update their stats. Of course, I would have had to report the failure in order for it to count. Also, I guess I installed that drive, not Puget. That counts! And so does my single 840 Pro that crapped the bed.
Utter garbage I say! Down with Samsung!
"You're holding it wrong!"Also, I guess I installed that drive, not Puget.
I'll have you know that I've held a few drives in my time and I'm a man who knows how to hold a drive."You're holding it wrong!"
I make sure to check the seller's reviews and history. Haven't had an issue so far.I probably wouldn't buy SSDs or anything storage or memory related off Amazon tbh. Hard to know what you're getting and if it's even proper flash chips in there and not a cheap USB drive.
"HEY! Wrong port!" lol"You're holding it wrong!"
AAWWWWW. Poor thingOur lights have flickered a few times and the UPS has beeped, much to our timid dog's displeasure.

Nah, "atmospheric river" has been around for a long time. I remember it being called "the pinespple express" because it originated near Hawaii."Atmospheric River" is the next "bombogenesis" lol.

They've just gotten better at making up "exciting" sounding names for semi-normal weather events that's all..... glues the inane-drones eye-ball's to the screen longer. (so they can watch more ads of course!)
