It's really quite simple. Bush won. Several times. The argument that all the votes have not been counted is ludicrous. They have. Several times. Even if Harris included PBC, Bush still won. Several times.

Gore's Goonies are just going to have to live with the fact that Bush won. Several times.

Ya know, I was watching CSpan and they had one of those Democratic Judges reviewing the ballots and you know what?

He held up a ballot and said that although there was no indication of a vote for either Gore or Bush, because the entire ballot was cast for Democrats that &quot;it was obvious&quot; that the person was voting for Gore.

This is the type of Bull $hit that makes these manual recounts bogus.

As I've said before, Gore and the rest of the Liberals will do ANYTHING to win this election. ANY MEANS TO THAT END!!!!!

All votes have been counted.

Just because a vote is thrown out because it wasn't punched properly, does not mean that it was not counted.

A dimple (one of the most commonly rejected ballots) could be due to the fact that a voter was thinking about voting for president, but could not decide which candidate to vote for.... They could insert their stylus without completely removing the chad, and then decide to move on.

We CAN NOT determine the intent of a voter! Not unless we can bring in a psychic who holds each card and can determine the voters intent by making an indirect link to the voter... ummm... or something like that.

Yes, hand counts are a valuable count. To be used with OTHER types of ballots. Not with machine count ballots such as those used in the FL election. I believe that all counties in TX (where the infamous bill signed by Bush for hand recounts is) now use a different type of ballot that can be reliably counted.

Bush's argument is not agains hand recounts in general. Just in hand recounts with this type of ballot.

If you read the official transcripts for Broward County, that was standard procedure. Not only were all the votes counted, several times, many votes that didn't even exist were counted.

If manual hand recounts are permitted and required under Florida Law, and even in Texas mind you where it has been done several times. Even Bush said and I quote &quot;don't change the rules after the game&quot; if the ballots can't be recounted manually then the Florida Law should not have existed for manual recounts in the first place, but it is and that's why recounts are permitted. Then the courts indicate that under Florida law you can do a manual recount, but then counties said that they would not be able to finish the count by the deadline. So let me get this straight, you can do a recount but it's imposible to do the count in the required timeframe so the biased Secretary of State says, oh well tough luck you coudn't get the count in on time so let's certify this sucker ASAP phew, better luck next time. What kind of rigamaroll electoral office is this. Your constitution allows you 1 day to vote, should your 1 vote not have more respect than this.

Even if they counted 20 times with the same outcome, but did not include %5 of the ballots in the count you have 20 bougus recounts. What Gore is saying is to count every ballot once.

If Bush were behind, believe me we would be hearing a mind-numbing string of epithets about incompetent government officials. Instead, Republicans think the Florida bureaucrats are the cat's meow. Ideology goes out the window when you want to win. And Bush would have been just as aggressive with the law suits in the shoe were on the other foot. The Republicans have filed about 10 suits and they are winning.

Anyway, it ain't over. The Republicans just can't accept the truth. Their man lost in Florida, and the only remaining question is whether Gore will be allowed to prove it.

Veryape, under FEDERAL LAW, every military vote for primarys or elections must be accepted with or without a postmark as long as they are executed on or before election day and received with in ten days after the election. There were 1,100 legal overseas ballots illegaly invaildated. Get your facts straight, quit listening to the Gore camp. They don't tell full truths, just like Gore they all exagerate. Statistically speaking Bush would be the one with a net gain in Dade, not Gore, the whole partial hand recount was so skewed its not even funny and smells of fraud(in Dade)

About the SC ruling, they ruled that amended counts must be certified Sunday 5pm unless the SOS office was closed, Harris sent out a letter several days in advance saying her office would be open to except all amended counts. She did so, under court order. Palm Beach knew the deadline was 5pm.

I agree.. He came up with a novel way to gerrymander. Gerrymandering has long been illegal in the United States. No one anticipated that it could be done in the middle of a national election, so there are no specific laws to prohibit it.

That still does not change it's unethical nature. The intent is &amp; was to subvert the election process. A quirky side note is that Algoron's lead atty is from Mass, home state of the original gerrymanderer, from whince the name came.
