Hi, I've been reading a lot of the posts on here regarding case suggestions and I needed some more personalized suggestions for my setup.

I see a lot of the suggestiosn for the Lian Li PC 65/7 series but my problem is I am using the Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro, so I'm pretty sure it renders the rear intake fan/air guide thing useless, or at least severly limits its benefits.

I need a case that will work well with the above mentioned heatsink as well as remove some of the excessive heat being produced by my x1800xt w/AcceleroX2.

I'm looking for a case below $150 and hopefully closer to $100.

I was looking at the Silverstone TJ05/06, but it doesn't seem like many ppl recommend Silverstones cases very much is there a reason?

Thanks for any suggestions!

if you're talking side intake duct, you can remove it and the Freezer 64 Pro would still work. Grab a PC-7B Plus with 120mm fans and it will be fine.

Silverstone makes one of the best cases! i cant see why they people would not recomend there cases. There prices are a bit inflated but build quality is pretty much top notch from my experience.

For a price closer to 100, id get a Lian Li. If your looking for more of a budget case, the CM Centurion 5 is another excellent choice at only 55 dollars.

First, welcome to the AT forums and pardon the above for their self-centeredness as not to notice...

Few Silverstones have 120mm fan mounts f/r and none that I know of have rubber HDD isolators. When you can get cases that cost less and have both without modding, why look at Silverstone. But if you like how one or the other of them look, it shouldn't be too hard to mod them up to current standards. Even the new TJ-07 loses big on function points to lots of cases that sell for half or less of it's price. I think the Aerocool Masstige or Coolview are decent for the money. Right now, the Antec slk3000-B or some the Evercase models (also sold under the AMS name), the HEC/Compucase 6A19 or some models of the CoolerMaster Centurion (ones with 120mm f/r) have the most casitude for the money. Kingwin 523 and the less expensive Gigabyte cases are twins under the skin with the Centurions - there are others that are based on that same chassis design too. Don't think they come with rubber HDD iso, but easily modded. Looks like it might gain "classic good design" status with the Antec et al. 3000 series and similar and Evercase.
. If you need fancier, just look for the same features that most of those have (rubber isolators for HDDs (optional on the Evercase because the resellers are ignorant SOBs as the cases could be ordered properly equipped), 120mm fan mounts f/r, indirect noise paths at the front) that fits your appearance requirements.
. The Gigabyte is a bigger brother of the Centurion design whose claim to fame is WC readiness - which most won't use. But it's fine for Air Cooled too - don't need to use both fans at the back when going A-C. Like the Centurions, no rubber HDD iso. but easy to mod that in.
