Definitly...the radeon was ATI's first real 3d card...anything before the radeon was pure crap...especially in terms of driver support also. I picked up the last 2 at the columbia, md compusa for my p180 and duron 900 machines. THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE DEAL...finally got in on a good pricing deal at a Compusa...to think i vowed to never go back there after working there for a year and a half loooong time ago btw, it was marked 59.99 on the shelf and then 49.99 on the sale tag.

thanks shurato, gonna pick up one then...hope they still have some at the Manhattan Store on 57th street. Whenever I call that store to check on supplies, they always say they have them, but once i get to the store, it's not there and the guy always says, "well, there must be something wrong with our inventory system". I guess they just sell computers, not use them properly.

perhaps they are buying it for themselves after they find out about the deal...do yourself a favor and ask them to hold it for you or speak to a manager to do it for you. When i used to work at compusa, anything we held for customers we put a little sticky note on it and put it in the back of the upgrades dept closet for the customer. Of course i was a little more honest than others. You'd be amazed how many employees swipe up deals for themselves before the weekly add even starts up. Even some managers...

I went to CompUSA at lunch and checked it out.

It is indeed $29.95

Retail ATI Radeon 32mb SDR with TV OUT

The TV out is via S-Video or RCA Out.

Awesome deal . . . i didn't buy one tho cuz that would mean I have to spend another $200 on a second monitor for 2 monitor setup

The Culver City, CA Store has a ton in stock

Thank you Glenn1 for posting this! I needed PCI vid cards for some inexpensive MATX mobo's I picked up recently. Their good mobo's, but the on-board video is sad and they don't have AGP slots
I just got 4 of them at the CompUSA on the west side of Houston. Lots more on the shelf if anyone in the Houston area needs one.

Glenn1,

Nice find and thanks for posting!

Picked up the last one at the Altamonte Springs (Orlando). I've always wanted to play with a dual monitor setup but didn't want to spend alot which had ruled out any decent card. This should work out great.

Any stores so far where it has not rung up at $29.95? I called the not-so-local Schaumburg IL store and was told by both the main office "pricing and availability" rep. and store manager that the computer is showing 294181 as $49.99 after instant rebate (at both the main computer and register computer when talking to the manager).

I think I will make the 15 mile trip later tonight when traffic has died down a bit but was hoping for some more users experience on this deal before I go. Please post if you were not able to find this deal at your local CUSA.

Thanx.

On the ad I got at local CompUSA it says for the PCI video card there's an instant rebate that's prolly why many of you get it for $29.92 at the cash register. I was gonna pick up the AGP one but found out TCA@New Rochelle, NY is handling the rebate so gave it up.

Welp guys, just got back from the CUSA in Schaumburg IL and am happy to report that despite my call with the manager earlier stating a price of $49.99, these cards rang up at $29.99 at the register.

Earlier in the day there was 10 QTY in stock and when I got there near closing time there were 3 on the shelf which I purchased (I was hoping to get 3 so it worked perfectly).

The register guy said that others had been coming in to purchase them also.

Gotta love that anandtech effect!

Peace

They are indeed ringing up at the $29.99 price in Schaumburg. I would call for stock tomorrow morning though as they could possibly be sold out now. After hearing report of this price in CA, NY, and IL I think it's safe to assume that most if not all stores have this price at the register. (Don't quote me on that though!)

Also wanted to mention these cards not only have TV-out, but also include S-Video and composite cables along with an S-Video to composite adapter in the box.

sw33t deal.. thanx again glenn1

Thanks glenn1. I picked up two this afternoon.

There is a mistake on the price of the Radeon 32MB DDR AGP card. It rings up at $49.99 and then you can send in the $20 MIR. It is handled by TCA so be aware that you are probably in for a hassle and long wait.
