Yes. It's a decent AGP card (just no TV out). Not "high-end" but OK for many current games.

And you have to wait for a $20 rebate to get the final $29.99 price (plus shipping and tax).

Got mine yesterday. Sent my son with info, listed at display as $49.99, but told him to have cashier check, it was $29.99.

I'll be installing tonite,

I picked up a couple of these this morning, and I just hooked up one in my Shuttle SV24. I'm pretty disappointed with the much-hyped TV-out feature. I was expecting quality superior to the built-in video out on the SV24, and IMHO it's just as crappy. I really don't understand how people can bear to use a TV as a monitor let alone watch a DivX. Am I missing something?

I was using: latest drivers from ATI, 640x480 resolution, S-Video out on Radeon, S-Video in on Samsung 150MP Monitor/TV.

as far as i know... i have never heard of anyone using their tv to replace a monitor. but i think the tv out is fine for watching divx, which is what i do.

precisely why i picked up this card..to put in side the divx box i am building...I see that from your that you are using a p2 300 as a your divx box ....is the processor good enough even at high rez. what is the lowest config you suggest for runnning divx.. also what are you using for a remote ? any input would be greatly appreciated..

my p2 300 is fine for running a divx box. some ppl might say otherwise, but imho... it's fine. the p2 300 is kinda slow these days... but i only use it for watching divx... no need to invest more money to upgrade part i won't really be using. i run at 640x480 (or 800x600) becuz i boot the divx box to a tv. at any higher resolutions, all i will see is blurry blobs of icons

A lot of people actually do that. A good example: the many, many people running a MAME box output to a TV screen.

I think I might've gotten a defective card. The fan is buzzing like crazy and the 2d is really poor. Of course, the 2d could be because of the driver. I used the latest one at the ATI site instead of the one on the cd rom. Still.. The 2d shouldn't be fuzzy. This is by far the worst 2d of any ATI card that I've tried.

Does anyone else have a "buzzy" fan or poor text?

SammyBoy: Have you tried CompUSA in Framingham Rte 30?
This morning, I was at the CompUSA in Nashua, NH. They have many of them on the shelves.

I went down the street to the local Office Depot B&M. I showed them a printout of the CUSA price from their website and they PM'ed it with no problem. Got the last one on the shelf

Nope! Mine looks great even on the POS 15 inch I'm running on it!

Now I need a hot deal on a 19" mitsubishi! Twin 19 inchers would be sweet!

Good morning, quick question, is the AGP 32mb ddr,the one with the rebate, comparable to a GF2 GTS-V pro that sells for about the same price in Newegg? If it is, I'm gonna pick one up. Thanks in advance everyone.

Got one yesterday. Don't know why, except it seemed like a good deal.

Now I need a deal on a case, mb, cpu. I already have extra HD and can borrow a stick of memory from my current box ...
