10 year olds are pretty damn smart nowadays. i've given my minolda dimage x, and my canon s100 elph to my cousins who were 9 (well my OLD canon s100 , since sold) and they figured it out.


at one point i let them use my sharp mini DV cam, and they figured out how to use it in about 10 minutes. oddly their parents couldnt figure it out. its an electronics generation out there old people. be afraid!

It gets worse Rossman, she has multiple learning disabilities, yet has mastered the A10:Q

Your daughter sounds an awfully lot like me.. (when you said she has learning disabilities) I have a time harder than hell following simple directions some times - especially directions like "Stay quiet" in elementary school.. Yet, I could figure out (at age 10) how to program all the VCRs and use the computers and anything else mechanical or electrical better than anyone else in the house.

It hurts to be in college now. It's good you get those problems diagnosed early.

BTW, my dad probby would've smacked me if I took a picture of him while driving. It's nice to see you take a lighter approach. Nice photo - too bad it wasn't in higher resolution.. A picture like that taken by a 10 year old girl is a great photo for winning local photo contests at your county fair.
