This is what happens when we don't help other people. What always surprises me is when they ask the shooter's friends if they saw anything unusual. This had a small head line on CNN. A normal sized front page head line instead of the big, huge yellow letters. Even the video of the event gave the impression that this was no big deal. "Yeah, someone took a shot to the leg and then the police killed the shooter". This is so routine now it no longer has any shock value.

Whoever told him that is an idiot. A phone book will stop a .45 ACP slug so a couple library books could easily stop a typical handgun round especially hollow points.

Just looked it up. The paperback book he had was 304 pages and the bullet went through that and into a hardcover book behind it which ultimately stopped the bullet. God didn't stop the bullet, the books did. I'd bet this test could be repeated 100 times and have the same result.

How could you prove God wasn't stopping those bullets as well? What if it is God's will to have the paper in books have a specific energy absorption rate? What if it is God's will to have a specific gun fire at a specific velocity?

I have witnessed people that knew someone was a heavy drug user make statements like "They always spoke against drugs" when that person got busted.

This looked like a suicide. Most people who commit suicide are crying for help inside. Most don't want to do it either. Then, when the person kills themselves their friends and family are shocked. Really?

It was the same with the Columbine massacre. I think it was Eric who was storing the guns, bombs, and ammo in his bedroom. The family had no clue that this was going on. How could they not know?
