How about other countries (that do have very strict gun laws)?
Yeah, like Venezuela maybe? They disarmed there whole population, and now have the second highest murder rate in the world and some of the highest crime rates on earth.

Nothing good happens after you disarm your population, just ask the jews, or the Russians, or anyone currently living in Venezuela.
There are studies that can show tighter gun laws help and some that dont. Stats can be bent many ways to show many things. But one thing is for certain and thats any outright ban sometimes leads to much death of the disarmed population, usually carried out by the government that had disarmed them.

We are aware that gun bans/confiscations(which alot of people in the US are screaming for) have lead to the deaths of some 10-50 million people in the past century or so(exact number is highly debated). And while there is no guarantee this would happen in the US, i do believe if you tried to take all the guns from your population it would start a civil war, and there would be many deaths because of it, and it would end up added to that article i posted as another statistic of what can happen with a gun ban.
Have gun laws saved 10-50 million people over the past century? who knows i have not seen a study on lives saved by gun laws, but one thing is for sure, that banning them has caused many many deaths worldwide.
Not sure what the solution is, i think there are already to many guns for banning to work in the US. Making more laws will not help because the people committing these crimes are criminals and criminals by definition do not follow laws, and with so many guns already in the US its not like its hard for a criminal to find one even if you stopped imports of guns now there is simply to many already there. You guys have rough days ahead, i wish you the best of luck with your issues and hope you guys find a solution that works.
