Does anyone actually give a shit about these sporting events anymore (hyperbolic, of course some people care but viewship has been at all time lows)? I gave up a long time ago and more and more people I interact with have been much more muted about it.

I feel like one of the best things to come from the pandemic was the waning interest in sports culture.

Packers are actually a weird name to the football unfamiliar. Years ago, I told my sister the name was the Packers. "The...Packers? Why are they called the Packers?". That was an unexpected moment since I was the football fan since 10 and never questioned the Packers' name. Put into a state of thought, it is indeed just a tad wacky of a name.

She had the same response to the Ottawa Senators.

Superbowl is the only day I can legitimately eat rotel dip, so I appreciate it for that. Otherwise, I find out who's playing when I turn it on, I root for whichever team is playing against the Patriots, and when it's over I move on with my life.

6 of 15 replies are people saying they don't care in either or one them. Gee, i wonder why someone didn't start a thread?
When i saw they were airing the Olympics on Thursday night i thought about starting a thread on it, but, knowing the history around here, i figured... why bother, it's just going to get dumped on.

I like watching the Olympics. I'll watch what a can of it if they're showing something i want to watch(i only get NBC). I'm i super excited about it, no not really, but i'll watch.

I'll watch the Super Bowl too. I'm i super excited about it, no not really, but i'll watch. Don't reall care about either team but hope for a good game.

I watched a little biathlon today. Since it's military derived, they should be shooting high caliber rounds. Would add another dimension to the difficulty. Still one of the better sports.

I already proposed how to save the Olympics. Introduce a pack of hyenas into every sport.

Won't go out of my way but I like watching top athletes compete. I like track/field more than the winter but today's bobsledding was interesting.

I hope this costs the CCP 50X what it was worth for them having it. The wuhan clan needs to suffer.
