I just sold my Xbox 360, and after a lot of going back and forth between the two, I opted to replace it with an Xbox One.
The lack of no IR sensor on the console and no currently available remote control was a serious point against the PS4 for me. This was the main reason I didn't even consider a PS3 when deciding between last gen too.
I also prefer the feel of the Xbox controller. Granted, I'm sure I could get used to the DS4.
Some people have made this a point against the Xbox One, but I also prefer being able to use AA batteries. I have a set of Eneloops that I've owned for years, and I always have at least two charged batteries ready go. I already have to constantly charge my phone, I don't need to babysit my controller.
All of this being said, the PS4 is the undisputed more powerful machine. If I was only a console gamer I would probably go with the a PS4, and just deal with the inconveniences of not having a real remote and having to constantly charge the controller.
However, I am predominantly a PC gamer, and console graphics haven't impressed me in a long time, so I opted for what I felt would be the more convenient setup for me.
The Last of Us does look pretty awesome though, and I really did sort of want to play that, but I'm not going to buy a console for a single platform exclusive.
I also really like the fact that the PS4 doesn't have a power brick. I occasionally moved my Xbox 360 between my living room TV and my PC monitor, and not having the deal with the brick (or buy an extra one) would be nice.
...oh yeah, right now the Xbox One without the Kinect is cheaper, which doesn't hurt.
