anouther Voodoo zelot gone,well almost.....

I'm a V5 owner... and you guys are making me nervous with all of your talk about "dead V5's" :Q I don't OC mine, except what it gets from a higher FSB. I did replace the stock 40mm fans with some 50's and also added a couple of 50's on the backside.
These V5's DO get hot

I've had my eye on card reviews. But nothing seems to jump out except the GeForce3's. I'm a big FSAA 2x man.

I wouldn't worry to much I am runing my V5 overclocked with a 145 FSB with stock cooling and have been for many months, It should last a long time

I'm upgrading a system, possibly MB if I have to move to AGP, definitely the Voodoo2.

Original complaint starting the post had to do with image quality of the GeForceMX versus the voodoo5.

Jethro Bodine claims it's because this is a lowly MX card; the other cards in the GeForce2 series have up to double the framerate of the MX.

But what about the orignal complaint: Image quality? Do the DDR based non MX GeForce2 cards have image quality comparable to the V5?

Well I hope that somehow the quality is much better on the high end GF2's having aa V5 with slow ram and great quality had me confused I guess. I've never been one to cry over FPS unless they dropped below 30 so ass u me d that a GF2MX would have the same quality as its bigger brothers but just slower? Anyway I dumped the GF2MX and got a KryoII its a little better though dark in D3D and in distance or high depth render its still not as good but better than the MX.

I have a GeForce 3 Asus 8200 deluxe using the 12.40 drivers, I don't care what card you use in 2D or 3D the best you can hope for is to get a card that looks as good as the Voodoo 5500 but runs faster, I don't care about the speed that is why I use the 5500 in my main computer, It looks better and runs more stable that the G.3 but runs slower, I have both and both are good cards so I am telling it the way I see it
