Before Antec started branding/classifying their PSUs as "SmartPower" or "TruePower" or "Solution Series" they only had one line. This is it. These are still hi quality PSUs, but probably would be classified as either "SmartPower" or "Solution Series" now-a-days. My PP412X came with my SX1040B and has been running 24/7 for over two years now without a problem yet. Also, these are supposed to have POTs in them if you want to up any of the voltages.

I wonder if this is a refurb. Seach froogle.com for "ANTEC PP412X" and look at the third result. It looks like Antec is dumping the refurbs for $49 AS-IS with a small 30 day warranty.

I've dealt with a few internet merchants that don't advertise "refurb" when the item really is.

Well, I called Atacom and they said it's an OEM un-boxed NEW power supply and it carries a 1 year warranty.

This is a great deal for a nice PS.

The 412 is ok for P4 with a 12v connector, right? I couldn't find a manual on Antec's sight for this. I'm having a problem with a SY-P4VTP and their tech support think it's my power supply.

The 412 should run your P4 w/o any problems, it's definitely adequate enough.

?! Dude. Seriously. A 2nd PSU fan isn't going to do squat unless your case ventilation is obscenely poor. Heck, a huge number of high-end PSU's don't feature a second fan, because it isn't necessary.

If this PSU helps your case temps, you've got other problems.

Dude...the PP412x is Awesome. It is 400W, not 412.

It has adjustable pots so you can up your rails if they are too low.

Mine has been working well for over a year.
