Yes the rail ratings are the same. But thats just telling you at what amperage the rails can safely operate at and not how much is available to each rail. The numbers mentioned above is how much is available to the 12Vrails.

EA380 max +12v load: 324w
324W divided by 12V gives you a max of 27A available on the 12V rails.

EA430 max +12v load: 360w
360W divided by 12v gives you a max of 30A available on the 12V rails.


It helps to know a bit about Ohm's Law.

Voltage times Amperage equals Wattage.

E*I/W (E represents Voltage, I represents Amperage/Current, and W represents Wattage.


So...
Wattage divided by Voltage equals Amperage.

Wattage divided by Amperage equals Voltage.

They have the same OCP (over current protection) on the "two rails" but they don't put out the same amount of power.

I believe the Earthwatts 380 is manufactured by Seasonic.

Is the 430 actually made by Antec?

If so I would definitely go for the Earthwatts 380.

Earthwatts 380W, 430W, and 500W are all Seasonic. Antec themselves don't make the PSUs.

Some earthwatts are now made by Deltas (can tell by a D on the end of the model, i.e. EA-380D). However going by the review of the Delta-built Earthwatts 650W Delta is doing a good job too.

380w seems allright. Its stable but it gets preety loud under hard load
